"We named our daughter Tyler Jade born in 2012❤️ she is named after a boy and girl named Tyler as well who had the most amazing Personality" Jun. 16, 2020:
"I'm tyler and I'm 35. When I was a kid I was often told "dont you know your name is a boys name?" But as I got older I learned to love it. Its definitely opened doors for me, like in terms of job opportunities for example. And I know this for a fact, because every time I arrive to an interview I am told "oh wow I was expecting a man". Subsequently they talk to me and see how awesome I am. :)" Feb. 8, 2020:
"I love it. It's such a beautiful name for a girl and I wish it was more common. In fact, I think Tyler is the most beautiful name in the world for a girl. Truth be told, I hadn't thought much about it in the past, as I had never met a female Tyler I never questioned the association of it being a boy's name, but then I met a female Tyler and when she told me her name, it sounded so beautiful, so melodic, so feminine, like it should only be a girl's name. Now I can't see it as anything but a girl's name. I love the way it forces your mouth into a smile when you say it. The few female Tyler's I've met tend to smile a lot, like they know their name sounds best when said with a smile. It has every trait of an old-fashioned, traditional proper lady's name, so how did it become popular with boys? A fluke of history, I guess. Either way, I love the name Tyler for a girl and meeting a female Tyler always makes me instantly happy." Sep. 13, 2019:
"i know this one girl and her name is Tyler, and to be honest it fits her quit well. I think its a beautiful name for any gender." Mar. 23, 2018:
"We have a 8 month old girl that we named Tyler. We love it and it fits her." Sep. 9, 2016:
"My name is Tyler and I'm a transgender woman. I met a cisgender (non-trans) girl named Tyler in middle school and we've remained close since. She was the first female Tyler I met and it made me so happy that there were other girls in the world with my name. I think the expectation when you transition is that you change your name, but I personally never felt the need. I love my name very much and have never wanted to be called anything else. If people misgender me because of it, I correct them and move on." Jan. 31, 2016:
"I'm 13 y/o female Tyler and I love my name. Sometimes I question why my parents named me this but personally I think it's better than having a more feminine name because people will remember me more. So far, I've met three others girls who were named Tyler one was older and one younger. Sometimes people will call me Taylor when they see I'm a girl but I just correct them and it's perfectly fine. It's way more unique to have Tyler as a girls name." May. 15, 2015:
"Hi my name is Tyler, I was born in 1984 which makes me 30. When i was a kid it was nearly unheard of for girls to have this name but I run into it more and more these days. As I've gotten older I've grown to appreciate the name more and more - I feel it opens doors and creates opportunities that I might not otherwise have. (its still a sexist world we live in)" Apr. 5, 2015:
"My name is Tyler! I love it! I get really annoyed when teachers in school call me Taylor, because it's not my name, obviously. I don't think of Tyler as only a boy's name. In fact, my sister is named Jamie, so it is normal in my family." Jan. 4, 2015:
"This is my name and I absolutley love it. The only bad thing is that people call me taylor a lot." Dec. 20, 2014:
"I'm a 21yo girl and my name is Tyler (although 80% of people call me Ty and I introduce myself as Ty). At first I hated my name because it wasn't feminine, but I've learned to love it. BUT I WILL FOREWARN PARENTS, if you don't think your daughter will be a gorgeous or cute person, PLEASE give her a feminine name. The last thing she will need is a boy's name to add to her looks. We do have the element of surprise however. It is great if you are pretty (not trying to sound into myself, just giving my opinion) because people will think you're a dude, then you walk into the room hair-flipping and heel-clicking and people's jaws drop. That's fun. But as with any female Tyler, I get called Taylor. A LOT." Nov. 24, 2014:
"My name is Tyler, I'm a girl.. Bla bla. I used to be quite upset with my name because of the amount of people who tried to tall me my name was something else. But now I love it and I usually just like scream. Out " Tyler is here! I am Tyler!" In random places. Anyway Tyler's are awesome lol ;)" Oct. 28, 2014:
"my name is tyler and i love my name i hate it when people call me taylor. i'm a bit of a tomboy and i think it fits me perfectly." Aug. 18, 2010:
"I Absolutely LOVE my name. But, im a girl, so people always say thats a boy name. but, i could care less. ITs a beautiful name for either sex, and its unique for a girl. Its so different." Jul. 13, 2009:
"I've loved this name since I was in high school. I'm not an expecting parent yet, but my husband and I are both in love with the name Tyler for a girl! I'm also loving Ryann.... I guess I like boys names for girls! I'm not into gender stereotypes anyway, so why stick to the "rules"!" Mar. 5, 2008:
"i love tyler as a girls name when i have a baby and its a girl i am gonna name her tyler but spelled tilor cause my name is weird and i like weird names" Feb. 22, 2007:

"I'm 26 now. Most people call me Ty (although anyone that doesn't know my name is Tyler tries to spell it Tai). Because it's a predominately male name, I am confused for a man ALL the time when people have not yet seen me. This can create embarrassing situations for other people quite often-- for example I was once placed in a man's dorm room. I get called Taylor a lot. I spend a lot of time correcting people just because of my name. The only benefit to the name is the element of surprise I guess, people expect a man and get a woman." Sep. 18, 2020:
"I think the name Tyler is beautiful, and all the girls I know named Tyler are the best people I've ever met" Apr. 11, 2018:
"My name is Tyler and I actually do like it! (As a girl) the only bad thing is that sometimes people don't believe me when I say my name is Tyler." Mar. 24, 2017:
"My name is Tyler and I've gotten called Taylor many different times, but it's an easy mistake since Tyler is more commonly a male name. I've had past teachers just call me by my last name (also a guys first name haha) or by my middle name because it's more feminine, I would ask them to please call me by my first name, I love my first name and I am proud to say I'm a girl and my name is Tyler, I have only met three other girls named Tyler (all extremely nice) and I'm happy to have this name!" Feb. 21, 2017:
"My name is actually spelt Tylarr and I'm 18 years old. Overtime, I've come to love my name and embrace my unique spelling." Jun. 13, 2016:
"My daughter's a female Tyler and she LOVES her name! I actually named her 'Tylar Nicole' to make it more feminine and unique to her. But I also knew she might not love her unisex first name as much as I did and wanted to give her a more feminine middle name as an option to go by if she decided. If you ask her about her name though, she'll flat out tell you 'It's a girls name too' so matter of factly and she never seems to get perturbed when people call her 'Taylor' which totally happens all the time. She just happily corrects them. She 100% owns her name and it fits her to the core :) She was born in 2004 and is 11 now." Sep. 17, 2015:
"Born in 1969 and I only know of one other woman born in the same year with that name and when we met we were the only women either one of us had ever met with that name. I have always hated it and in the age of social media it can be really frustrating when people assume they are talking to a man - also, a man can steal and use my credit card easier than I can!" Jun. 9, 2015:
"I was born in 1978 & aside from being a female Tyler, my parents also tacked on as many family names as they could, all of which are masculine. Growing up in the 80s as a female Ty (what the majority of my friends call me) was very unpleasant due to the constant badgering, bullying, & chronic torture I received at the hands of not just kids, but ADULTS TOO, which sort of screwed me up for a while. I begged my parents to re-name me, I cursed them forever for naming me Tyler, & I tried to change my name by myself when I was 10, which did not go over
While I still get annoying phone calls asking for "Mr. Tyler..... So & so" I'm so used to it by now that I just chuckle at the idiocy of others, especially at those morons who ACTUALLY KNOW ME, but if they're reading a roster, it never fails that whomever that is calls me "Tyler so & so? (Looks around) Is HE HERE?!?" No DUMBASS . He's NOT here but she is!!
Frankly, male Tylers look inferior yet entitled. One of my friends has a best friend named Tyler. This Ty is a guy but my friend told me that he told his BFF that he was really sorry for what he was about to say , but it was the truth; "Tyler is a girls name dude. No question. It's not a bros name, it's a chicks name. " I love that Quote!
As much as I hated my own name for so long, I started to accepted it & actually like it about 14 years ago. So when I see people making ignorant statements such as "I HATE TYLER FOR A GIRLS NAME!!! BOYS NAME ONLY!! WHATS WRONG WITH PARE
POSSIBLE BABY NAMES" that my mom had created while I was still only a few cells clustered together, I'm very happy they stuck with" Apr. 27, 2015:
"My sister's name is Tyler and she ABSOLUTLY HATES IT! Sometimes if she meets someone new she'll tell them her name is "Taylor"" Dec. 15, 2014:
"My name is actually spelled Tiler and I LOVE my name!! It took some getting use to... but eventually I learned to live and accept my name!" Nov. 14, 2014:
"I'm named Tyler Rose and I have accepted my name because it's unique, like me. I get called Taylor a lot and ignore the speaker, because my name isn't Taylor. They usually get it right after I ignore them. Once in middle school, a sub tried to send me to the principle's office for lying to her. If people haven't met me yet, they think I'm a boy. Most people think it's really pretty and love calling me Tyler Rose. They think it's really Southern sounding, and I'm a Southern girl all the way." Jul. 30, 2014:
"i am an 18 year old black girl named Tyler and I actually love it now! When i was a kid it was definitely annoying but now I have embraced it, plus i am a HUGE girly girly so i don't even think about it anymore!" Jul. 9, 2014:
"I love his name for a girl! I named my daughter Tyler in 1984-and have never regretted it and neither has she!" Jun. 6, 2014:
"Until the late eighties/early nineties, Tyler was used for girls and Taylor for boys. I think a singer named Taylor Dayne (a woman) had a lot to do with that; moms thought it would be cute to name their girls "Taylor" (up to now, a boys name) and Tyler just sort of became the equivalent for boys." Dec. 29, 2013:
"My 8 year-old daughter's name is Tylar. Pronounced Tyler. She loves it! We LOVE it! She gets called Taylor a lot, though. She just started responding to it, and then correcting it. She was named after my late uncle, Joseph Tyler." Apr. 27, 2012:
"well...my name is Tyler and i am a girl...i love my name it is different and unique....you don't find to many girls named Tyler. I hate when people call me Taylor because there is no a or o in Tyler" Feb. 18, 2010:
"my sister's name is tyler. she is very in love with her name. she always gets mad when people here her name and thinks she's a boy." Dec. 31, 2009:
"i hate my name. people always call me taylor and say isn't that a boys name.i hate my name being tyler" Apr. 9, 2007:
