"My daughter?s name is Parker and she rocks it! She?s extremely feminine and we get compliments on the name all the time. Her teachers love it! Unlike Paisley, Addison, etc. she is the only Parker in her entire school and it?s an easy name to spell and pronounce, which was important to me (my name is misspelled daily). We only had one snide comment that we must?ve wanted a boy, but we shut that down by informing that person (a doctor who I had a low opinion of anyway) that we already had two boys and we just loved the name and it?s a family name - one we didn?t even consider for a boy because I don?t like it for boys. Her nickname is Parks, although it?s not used daily or even weekly, but when friends and family shorten it, she prefers Parks and nipped Park in the bud years ago. Our Parker is sweet, confident, feminine (she?s called a girly girl often), and loves cheerleading and swimming. Names don?t determine if you have a masculine or feminine child." Jan. 24, 2021:
"I spoke with my daughter last night and she told me she was pregnant and they are naming their baby girl Parker. I think that is awesome." Jun. 25, 2020:
"My name is Parker and I?ve really only gotten compliments on my name, I like how my name is a strong name, which is balanced by a more softer middle name, Marie." Jun. 20, 2019:
"Love the name Parker for a girl. Honestly I am not sure why people would ever consider it for a boy. It's definitely a fun, quirky girl name. And yes, my daughter's name is Parker. =)" Aug. 27, 2017:
"I named my daughter Parker in 1994 and I never heard any other little girl named Parker. Now it seems like there are a ton of little girls being named Parker. It's a great name but I'm sad it's become so popular. Scheduling appointments and people thinking she was a boy was more fun then annoying. We love the looks! She is my Parker Elizabeth!!" Feb. 6, 2017:
"I decided to name my daughter Parker and I love her name. Because her name is unisex I decided to give her a more feminine middle name, Parker Monroe. People often assume she is a boy when I schedule her appointments, but it's nothing too major. If you like the name don't listen to others opinions, it's a lovely name." Aug. 1, 2016:
"I have two little girls and I gave them both more masculine first names and pretty feminine middle names. Peyton Rose and Parker Anne. Everyone gave me the weird looks too when I first announced both of their names like "I thought you said it was a girl". I also got a lot of "how is he" and "is he doing this yet" at the doctors office. I just let them keep going until they pull the diaper off and then laught on the inside when they seem surprised." Jan. 8, 2016:
"My 2nd granddaughter is due in a week and when mom can't decide on a name that dad would like she tells him to find a name. He throws out Parker, no reason it just comes out, mom says that's a cute name, I like it. Everybody we tell thinks it's perfect. Unique and very cute. So we research it a bit. But when the 3 year old says Parker's my sister, it sounds too irresistible. Lots of pretty names but all are too common. You can't go wrong." Aug. 18, 2015:
"My husband and I are having our first child, a little girl, in 10 weeks! We are very excited and Parker is out top choice with possibly a middle name of Caroline. Our last name is Brown....
My only hesitation is some of the sites that talk about it being too masculine and only for a boy, but these comments give me more confidence in the name choice! :-)" Aug. 12, 2015:
"Our daughter was born in June 2015 and Parker was the only name we could agree on for our litte girl. We didn't want a popular girl name, and everyone we meet absolutely loves her name!" Apr. 7, 2015:
"My granddaughter is Parker Grace and I love it for a girl. Her daddy likes it more for a girl than a boy. No regrets! Love it and everyone seems to like it that hears it." Jun. 12, 2014:
"I love the name Parker! More for a girl than a boy. I have a granddaughter named Parker Grace. We hear more positive about her name than negative." Feb. 23, 2014:
"Love the name! Gave my daughter that name in 1995. Very powerful name!!" Oct. 21, 2013:
"My 6 year old daughter is named Parker.named her when she was just a bump and we didn't know the gender yet. Paired it with a more feminine middle name "Ainsley". Reaction has benn 100% positive. Do always have to say "Parker....a Girl" when giving info over the phone or something like that. But its always "that's a cool name for a Girl. I think it sounds strong and confident. And its catching on." Jun. 22, 2012:
"My daughter is having a little girl in June and has chosen Parker, now we just need a middle name." May. 10, 2012:
"My daughters name is Parker Kate. She was going to be Parker if she was a boy or girl! We love that it's a little different!" Dec. 19, 2011:
"i absolutely love this name and always have! Parker is my maiden name and i always said i would love to call my child it. i'm 12 weeks pregnant and am definitely callng my child Parker if its a girl.... or a boy!" Apr. 17, 2010:
"I love it for a little girl! It's my first choice for our daughter to be born in January...my husband likes it too :)" Dec. 6, 2009:
"I am 25 and my name, Parker, always gets compliments, it is a family name. I love my name and I like the fact that when someone reads my resume before meeting me, they do not know my gender, nor does my name make me sound ditsy, this way I feel like there are no preconceived notions about who I will be. I do think that my name helps me out in the class room and when I am meeting potential employers, most donýt forget my name, and they canýt confuse me with someone else. I think that it is the perfect name for a girl who does not fit the girly girl mold; it is for a girl with a bit of tom boy in her blood, lots of ambition and high goals in life." Jul. 6, 2009:
"I have always loved this on a girl. It's not terrible on a boy, but for some reason, it has a much perkier, preppier, sharper sound for a girl. I imagine an upbeat, snobby, prep school girl named Parker. It's very similar to the vision I have of a girl named Blair. It's also uncommon, but not ugly, dowdy, or weird. A very fine choice for a girl if you ask me." May. 16, 2009:
"Wake up! There are many girls named Parker; names, like words, evolve..." Dec. 25, 2008:
"I named my daughter Parker and it is beautiful. Anyone who think it is inappropriate ought to mind one's own business! How terrible to tell a little girl, "You have a boy's name!" Tell me, the father, who chose the name, that you think I made a poor choice; leave my darling, wonderful daughter out of it. Shame!" Dec. 25, 2008:
"My Daughters name is Parker and we get compliments everywhere we go" Dec. 3, 2008:
"My little sister's name is parker, and it bugs me when people say it's a boys name. I've met a million girls named Parker, but never any boys named Parker... As far as the whole "masculine vs. feminine" thing goes, I can't imagine a boy being named Parker, it sounds girly to me." Apr. 13, 2008:
"i love the name parker for a girl and want my first daughter to be called it. but when i tell people they say it should be for a boyu and not a girl. i think parker for a boy sounds too feminine." Mar. 13, 2008:
"I LOVE THAT NAME FOR A GIRL THATS WHAT I WANTED TO NAME MY DAUGHTER BUT MY BOYFRIEND WASN'T HAVING IT.. WE SETTLED ON CADENCE" Oct. 11, 2007:
"I plan on naming my future child parker as long as I marry a guy with a different last name as me, Parker Parker would be weird" Mar. 4, 2007:
"My daughter who is almost 5 is named Parker Elisabeth, I get a ton of complements on her name. And it is so fitting for her, I find it a bit to prissy on a boy." Oct. 24, 2006:

"Usable for a guy's name, but not suitable for a girl." Aug. 25, 2009:
"Definitely more masculine sounding. Sounds like a jock or a popular kid in school." Apr. 11, 2008:
"I cannot picture Parker as a girls name. It reminds me of an athletic guys name... I guess if I knew a female Parker, perhaps my opinion would change." Jan. 12, 2007:

"We are naming our baby girl Parker. On every site but this one, I got straight evil responses. Pure hatred for the name. So now it's definitely going to be Parker." Aug. 14, 2016:
"We named our daughter Parker. Her dad has a unisex name as well. We both loved that it was unique, a talking point when she meets new people, and it suits our baby girl so well. We stopped listening to others and went with our heart." Feb. 18, 2016:
"My daughters name is Parker. She was born in 2009. Older generations definitely looked confused when I tell them. There is also a lot of clarifying that Parker is a girl when making appointments etc. If you can handle these minor inconveniences then you will enjoy the name for a little girl." Sep. 18, 2012:
"I love the name Parker on either gender and my husband and I agreed that is what were are going to name whatever comes out lol" Sep. 7, 2011:
"Super name for a girl ... took my wife a while to have confidence to call our daughter Parker ... 6 weeks on NO REGRETS we love the name ... and people's reaction to it. Older generation puzzled, younger people love it.
Sounds great alongside any middle name ... we choose Parker Erin.
Also, love the way young children just acceot the name, they have no preconceptions, unlike older folk ... ;-)
If you like the name for a girl, just go for it nd ignore any negative comments you may here .... We are in the UK by the way, so much more uncommon name over here ..." Nov. 5, 2009:
