"I?m not giving away personal/ my friends info so either I know somebody who is called Laila or I am called Laila.
Anyways, basically everybody pronounces it as Layla. It is supposed to sound that way but in Arabic, it is pronounced differently. My friend/ I?m not Arabic so that?s probably why the name isn?t pronounced like that but I?m not gonna blabber on as it is irrelevant and me/ my friend don?t need to tell you. Sorry about that.
Anyway, some people pronounce it as Lila. I don?t know why but they do. They literally pronounce it L-I-LA. So ye but I don?t know anybody else called Laila except from me/ my friend so I would say it is quite a uncommon name. I don?t know if that?s true I heard that Laila is the 97th most popular name in England in 2010 and although that was awhile ago, I didn?t expect it to even hit top 200.
To be honest, I really like the name Laila and some people even compliment the name so it?s a win for all those Laila?s out there. Lol.
I wonder if you guessed if I was Laila or if t was my friend. It?s a mystery and nobody will know.
For some reason I?m gonna tell you a joke: what do you call cheese that isn?t yours?
Nacho cheese... get it? Because there is such thing as Nacho cheese and it sounds like nach-yo-cheese. This wasn?t necessary for people who already knew this joke or got it so sorry if you read it and found it boring and if you didn?t, well yay I guess.
I?m leaving now so goodbye (Again, another VERY irrelevant sentence but meh)

"My mom spelled my name Lila, and it was totally unique until I was an adult. The meaning I have found and like most is "gentle night," reminding me of a quiet, beautiful, starry night. I am serene and peaceful, so this fits me. I did not know that it is also an Hebrew derivation; I like that as I am fair with green eyes, and appreciate the Hebrew people. I like the Persian connection as well because of the legendary version of a similar "Romeo and Juliet" story, and the fact that is has been a conversation starter with many from that part of the world." "This is my little girl's name. I spell it Lailah, I have always loved that name from the first time I heard the singer's name Lalah Hathaway when I was very young. My husband thinks more of Laila Ali. LOL" Jun. 17, 2010:

Although I am planning on changing the spelling of my first name once i've adopted the stage name to, "Layla". Reason is because i've noticed most people assume it's pronounced as Layla. And it is, but some may also pronounce it as Lie-luh, which is what im more used to being called as. It's a beautiful name and I don't seem to share it with a lot of my classmates .. which is actually a good thing :) Shout out to all the Laila's/Leila's/Layla's/etc out there ! muah ." "My names laila and I was reading through the comments to see if my name has luck or anything. I was upset by some of these comments, especially about ?Laila? being an over-used name and that it turns out ugly people two-thirds of the time. My case, of being ugly, is true. But everyone else is beautiful so whoever wrote this- go back under that slimy rock you crawled out from!" Jan. 13, 2021:
"My name is Laila, although most people, once it was a teacher, spelt it ?Leila?. I can sometimes get annoyed with it. I haven?t met anyone who has the same name as me, but I?m sure it?s not ?rare?." May. 2, 2020:
