"I love it...I actually thought I kinda made a unique girl name bc my bf name is jon...so cool to see its actually name" Jun. 26, 2013:
"I got my name from my grandmother. Her name was Betty, but her nickname was Johnny because my great grandmother thought she was going to be a boy. So basically they just gave me her nickname but feminized it a little.
As a kid I didn't like it because people would always mispronounce my name. I learned a rhyme though that helped others figure it out. "Jonna rhymes with iguana" and eventually my peers realized it was DONNA but with a J. Its very cool to know that there are other Jonna's out in the world! I felt alone for a long time!" Aug. 22, 2012:
"Hi everyone. In Finland Jonna is pronounced yon-na. Is that what you all mean with correct pronunciation?" Dec. 8, 2011:
"My name is Jonna, i hated my name when I was younger but now i appreciate Jonna :) I get ALOT of compliments on it. Hello to all Jonna's! :) We're awesome! it is hard to believe so many people share this name." Feb. 25, 2010:
"i am naming my daughter jonna after her daddy jonathan. we thought it was a beautiful name and a creative way to name her after him." Jul. 21, 2009:
"I have always liked that I had a unique name. Once people learn how to pronounce it correctly, they often say it is a pretty name! It would have been easier if the spelling had been Johna or Johnna though!" Mar. 1, 2009:
"My name is Jonna. It's unique and people are always commenting on its uniqueness and beautiful sound. It is mispronouned 99.9% of the time, misspelled always, but it's fun and original nontheless. I wouldn't want a simple name that was always pronounced correctly and spelled correctly...it's kinda mysterious." Dec. 28, 2007:
"Very often pronounced wrong...but once corrected, people really like the name. Usually I hear "Wow, that is different." I also hear "You must be named after your dad." This is actually true for me!! I love my name." Jul. 27, 2006:
"Always misprounounced and misspelled! Jonah, Johanna, Joanna etc. What's so hard? It's Donna with a "J"." Jan. 12, 2006:
"People ALWAYS mispronounce my name. When people hear me say it, it is always "Oh, I LOVE your name, it's so pretty!"." Aug. 4, 2005:

"hello to all jonnas- a jonna from 2020. i like my name. its unique & im named after my dad, jon. it's almost never pronounced right on the first try, and its never spelled right on the first.. second..or even third time lmao. ive always told people it's pronounced like "John nah" but fast, but i just realized it would he WAY easier to say "it's just Donna with a j". anyways, yell jumanji when the clock strikes midnight for 2021. let's get out of this game." "I am a Jonna from 1961 in the United States. Hated it growing up for the obvious -- nothing or nobody ever heard of it. As I got older I came to love my name for the exact same reasons I hated it as a child. I am unique and most certainly new pronouncers will get it wrong...funny. So close to Donna, but amazing what people will do when pronouncing it for the first, second, third or fourth time. haha" Feb. 6, 2020:
"My name is Jonna as well. I?m 17. I?ve never cared much for my name but being honest I?ve never met a Jonna or even a Johnna with an H, and I like that about my name. My siblings all have very common names and mine is pretty unique, so they usually got the items with their names on it and I usually got some random ?Jessica? or ?Julie? anything with a J lol. It?s never pronounced right at first glance, and any substitute teacher is guaranteed to get the name wrong, but my favorite part is when everyone in the class basically shouts out how my name is actually pronounced, it?s like they?re more tired of my name being pronounced wrong than I am. I?m still okay with my name but I?m just glad to be the only Jonna in my school, makes me feel more recognizable." Apr. 10, 2019:
"My name is Jonna so many people mispronounce it is unique so I guess I'm unique hi to all the Jonna's. Johnna's out there" Mar. 2, 2018:

"My name is Jonna and it's constantly mispronounced.. I say how hard is it to pronounce DONNA with a J?? I was named after my grandfather and as a kid hated my name because I couldn't find anything with my name on it. As I've gotten older I've come to appreciate it and how sophisticated it sounds and that it's truly unique! I have never met a Jonna with same spelling always with an H (Johnna) those of us with Jonna spelled with no H is the french feminine of Jon! hello all you Jonna's out there!!" Aug. 11, 2009:
"My name is Jonna but I've never really liked it. The only thing I really like is that it's not common. Haha maybe someday I'll learn to like it more. People always say and spell it wrong for me too though." Feb. 25, 2009:
"oh! i'm a bit suprised that it is actually popular in the 60's... jejeje... yeah right! it's always mispronounced and mispelled... jonah,jonnah,joanna,dona,donna... i'm also from the philippines by the way... it's really unique... and cute... almost all my school IDs have wrong spellings... actually, Only 1 had it right... haha... funny how we all faced the same problems... JONNAs RULES... XP hehehe...." Dec. 27, 2008:
"here in the philippines,my name is not that popular...people usualy call me joanna when they read my name at first...i dont know why and yeah i corret them alot!im the only jonna that got the name pretty popular in our school...:)" Sep. 12, 2006:
