"This is my middle name, courtesy of my mother for calling me her "Joy of Life" but accidentally the doctor put "Joi" instead, personally I love it that way! Even though people often do replace the "i" with a "y". I haven't really met anyone named "Joi" so I'm glad I did find some here. And even now there's a red line when i spell "Joi"! x3" Aug. 3, 2009:
"This is my name as well, and I always get compliments on the unique spelling of my name (Thanks Dad).
When I was younger it was often pronounced "Joey", and on occassion I've even been given the French pronunciation." Jun. 12, 2009:
"This is my name and I love it. Although, I get a lot of slack because it's spelled with an "i" instead of a "y", I wouldn't want it spelled any other way. It's a unique way to spell a pretty and simple name." Aug. 2, 2008:

"Yes, Joi is my name and I can't imagine life without the unique spelling. I've also been called Joey and the french version. So now I introduce myself as Joy with an i. I was born in 1979." Jul. 20, 2017:
