"A lot of people I know call me Jewel-s which isnt so bad. However theres this one girl at my school who thinks shes so big and bad and says she knows like a million jewel's but when in reality there are barely any in my city lol. Some people also pronounce Jew-l Like gel but Jew instead of ge. I've only met 1 other person with my name and she worked at my local wal-mart which was kinda funny. My close friends and people I really know call me Jew, Juul (lmao), JewJew, or just Jewel. I want to change my nickname to JJ because I feel it suits me better than Jew or JewJew. Most people CAN pronounce my name right and its rare for the Jew-l but Jewels is more common, I dont mind it honestly. Its never really bothered me." Apr. 21, 2020:
"This is my name and I love this name. Where I live, you can't find anyone with my name. I love having a name that you really cannot find in many places. I don't think the name suites me but I love the name." Aug. 27, 2013:
"My girlfriend is named Jewel. She is the most beautiful woman in the world. Name fits accordingly." Nov. 5, 2011:
"My daughters name is actually Jeweliana but that's not an option. She is a little princess we love her name and think it fits her perfectly." Sep. 7, 2007:
"Here, in an Asian country, I seldom use this name. There has be a lot of variations all my life, like "Jie-wel", "Jeh-wel", and "Joh-el." Lots of years ago, in my elementary school, my music teacher was quite tired and asked me to sing a song for entertainment. I nervously went up front and started singing, and he interrupted me and asked me to wait for another volunteer for the DUET." Sep. 5, 2006:

"I love my name some people spell it Jule but it's jewel" Apr. 7, 2017:
"My name is usually misspelled and/or mis-pronounced - Jewels or Julie are the most common. I know of one other Jewel she is a newer friend of my mom and when we are in the same room I ignore anyone saying "Jewel".
I HATE having to correct people when they call me Julie but I have to at work as I work with a Julie. Ive gotten a ton of compliments on my beautiful name and I have to say if I had a baby girl I would use it.
when people want to know how to spell it I tell them "like the singer" and they get it right then!!" Jun. 3, 2008:
"My name is often misspelled or mistaken for short for something else, or even mispronounced. I ordered a burger at a restaurant, and they misspelled my name "JUEL". which was fine, and quite original I thought. But I waited and waited for them to call my name and finally -really- listened to the guy calling the orders out and heard "HWEL - your order is ready", with Hispanic pronunciation... also original."
