"My name is Hulda. It isn't much trouble with the pronounciation here in Scandinavia, and here it's a rather beautiful and unique name. In English-speaking countries, on the other hand, I think the pronounciation may be a bit more difficult. I've never met another Hulda and I like my name, but I still think I'll call myself something else if I move to England. Hulda isn't a beautiful name if you don't pronounce it correct." Oct. 6, 2013:
"im an 18 year old from new york and my mother's name is Hulda. But the funny thing is that she originates from Honduras...sooo not scandinavia. she HATES her name so goes by Maria, shes soo young, only 34, and more beautiful than any mother i've seen, such a stylish diva.
anyways, i have such a bizarre obsession with Scandinavian EVERYTHING(specially Sweden and Iceland :}) haha, and once i learned her name was IRONICALLY very Scandinavian, i LOVED IT.. i wish it was mine, but she named me Zaret, bizarre, both names came from the bible haha
anyways, keep loving your Name! its beautiful
we pronounce it Ulda(without the H) since her native tongue is Spanish, but in English we say H-OO-ld-uh
anyways, be" Sep. 21, 2010:
"My name is Hulda. It sounds like Hulk as in Hulk Hogan or The Hulk but with the da instead of the k. Everyone pronounces it Hilda, Helda, Helga, Holda, and I have even been called Heather. I was named after my great-great grandmother who was swedish. The name means sweet, lovable. I have been told the name fits. I LOVE MY NAME and when people hear it properly pronounced say they like my name too." Feb. 22, 2008:

"Sometimes treated as a variant of Huldah (of Hebrew origin and meaning "weasel"), and sometimes treated as a separate name, coming from the Scandinavian for "sweet"." Dec. 24, 2008:
