  • "I love this name! We are expecting in May 2012 and are not sure whether we are having a boy or girl and am considering it for either one! Although, I do think Emery sounds more feminine i guess it is more common in males. We thought about the alternative Emerson for the boy and sticking with Emery for girl, but we may just use it either way- boy or girl!" Sep. 12, 2011: Report as inappropriate

  • "Our two month old daughter's name is Emery Juliana and everyone LOVES the name. We chose Emery very early in the pregnancy. When NONE of our family members seemed to like it, we began looking for a different name. But we always came back to Emery. Not only do those who didn't embrace the name, love it now that they've met their little Emery, most have said that they can't imagine her with any other name!" Feb. 1, 2011: Report as inappropriate

  • "This is my last name, but I wish it were my first. One of my teachers in high school used to address her student by their last names, and I loved it. My (full) sister's name is Emily but she ended up with a different last name. Imagine if she was called Emily Emery!" Feb. 23, 2010: Report as inappropriate

  • "I've been a female Emery for 26 years, and I've LOVED it all my life. I know it's a man's name, but everyone always tells me it suits a girl much better. Thumbs way up!!" Oct. 6, 2008: Report as inappropriate

  • "My daughter's name is Emery - it was going to be AnneMarie but when I was pregnant my older daughter always said it so fast it sounded like Emery, and I liked the sound of it so that's how she got her name. We've never met anyone else with the name, but everyone says they love it and wish they would have thought of it." Apr. 9, 2008: Report as inappropriate

  • "I think is is a pretty alternative to the horribly overused "Emily"." Mar. 14, 2008: Report as inappropriate
