  • "Most of the "Elease"s these days spell their names "Elise" or "Elyse." I was named Elease after my grandmother, and I absolutely love it! It's unique and classy, and it reminds me of my family. People regularly spell my name incorrectly, so I've gotten in the habit of saying, "It's release without the R"...that helps people remember. Aside from my grandmother, I've only met one other person who spells her name this way, and she was of my grandmother's generation as well. All the same, I don't think it's in any way antique-sounding. A big thumbs up!" Sep. 8, 2006: Report as inappropriate
