"My name is Dayle-Ann. I was suppose to be a boy. I grew up hating my name it was spelled Dale. I should have changed it after high school but never did. After I started working I added a Y and I was Dayle. I still hated it. Then I added my middle name so I was Dayle-Ann. I actually liked Dayle-Ann but no one can pronounce it. It's usually Daylee-Ann!
I get alot of complements on it because it is a unique and unusual name." Jun. 29, 2020:
"I have always loved my name. It's different without being whacky. Because I'm only five feet tall, I felt like it was a strong name for a little gal. The "y" seemed to give it a feminine touch and I like that. Yes, it has been mispronounced, but once corrected, it's memorable. I was born in the mid 1950's. I have never met someone with my name that spells it with a "y" in the middle. We need a "Dayle's unite" gathering. Wouldn't that be fun? I think we could all stand in the same room." Mar. 19, 2018:
"I love my name as well. Dayle.. I was the only Dayle all through school.Everyone always knew who I was. When younger I wasn't fond of my name, teachers would mispronounce calling me "Day..lee" or "Doyle", but only once, as I quickly corrected them. Dayle meaning "Valley" is such a lovely word to envision.. Beautiful grassy land dotted with flowers and a running river, surrounded by rolling hills. As time has gone by.. I LOVE my name ! Thank you for the beautiful comments on our name from another Dayle !" Feb. 18, 2016:

"I love my name because it is different to be a female Dale (the y accomplishes this and also makes people pause and actually remember me more....Why? (is a woman named Dale and why is there a y in the middle of her name. Many think I added this y to my name. My dad was a prairie farmer and I thought he was definitely making a statement by choosing to name me Dale with a y in the middle of it. Neither of my parents seemed to be at all out of the ordinary and for me this was extraordinary....and then to find out later in life that Dayle means Valley is so fun...because I now live in one of the most lovely valleys in the world. I am truly blessed and I thank my parents for this name and the fact that I have taken this few moments to actually think on it. Thank you for the opportunity" Jan. 6, 2016:
