"My name is Daphne and I LOVE IT!!!But it's really annoying when people call me or my spell my name Daphane, but other than that i love it cause it's not too popular or not too rare, I have known an actress with the same name as me her name is Daphne Zuniga, but i also like how my nickname in my fifth grade science class was scooby doo cause i actually love scooby doo, so thank you to my uncle for telling my mom to have my name be Daphne!" "It's my daughter's name she's 20 now. I thought this name sounded like a fairy garden. I did add an extra e though." Aug. 3, 2020:
"I am tired of people calling me Daph-a-nee. It's annoying and they spell it "Daphine". By the way, Daphne is my name." Jan. 2, 2019:
"Unique but easy to pronounce, exotic but sweet sounding" Aug. 20, 2016:
"We named our 2 year old daughter Daphne. We didn't want something trendy and popular but we wanted a name that we felt people would be familiar with. We love her name and we've gotten many compliments on it. We've had some mispronunciations of it (some people insist on pronouncing it "Daph-a-knee" so it rhymes with the name "Stephanie" and one lady has no clue how to pronounce it so she kept calling her "Daf-feen" which made me chuckle). Oh, and we get asked if she was named after the girl on Scooby Doo. I now tell people that yes, she was named after the girl on Scooby Doo and if she had been a boy her name would have been Shaggy (not true, but most people laugh when we tell them that)." "We named our daughter this because it's both uncommon and no one thinks it's a far out crazy name plus it' sounds like a perky happy girls name. The only complaint I have is a lot of people asked if we like Scooby-Doo - and no I do not" Sep. 16, 2015:
"My name was going to be Daphne or Darlene. My mom chose Darlene. I was glad for I thought others would call me daf or daffy if she had chosen Daphne. But now I like the name and by other posters on here they didn't seem to have any problems. It's pretty." Jan. 15, 2009:
"I love my name (Daphne, of course!). It's so unique as not many people have that name, yet it's kinda traditional.
Thanks Mum & Dad!" Jan. 3, 2009:
"Daphne is my name and I'm very fond of it.
The only problem I've ever had with it is some misspellings, but that's easy to deal with.
I've never been made fun of for my name, it's always very well received.
-Daphne Clara" Jan. 28, 2008:
"I've always liked this name. It looks like it is becoming popular again." Oct. 24, 2007:
"our daughter, now 6 - no problems; we have yet to meet anyone with same name; people find it old-fashioned but cute" Sep. 2, 2006:
"It sounds like a good hippie name. Its my future daughters name." Jun. 6, 2006:
"I love Daphne, but people just can't seem to get the hang of the spelling. Careful you might end up being written as "Daffey". No joke." Jan. 8, 2006:

"Daphne is my name, I grew up wishing I was called something else but as I?ve gotten older I have realised that my name is unique and unlike other old fashioned names it has not really came back into fashion so it remains unique. My grandmother used to call me Daffy which I didn?t really mind and friends always call me Daffers which isn?t a big deal. What does wind me up is the way some people pronounce it and spell it. E.g. Daphine, Daphnee, Dafney, Daphaney Dafanney to name a few." Oct. 25, 2021:
"I'm called Daphne and it's OK. Kind of princessy for Alaska and people call me daffo, but other than that it's a nice name. I don't know any other Daphnes and I'm glad. People do pronounce it daph-ene though, which is annoying." Sep. 26, 2020:
"My name is Daphne but spelled different. It is spelled Daphine . I like my name, but I hate it when people call me Daf-fene. I do wish my parents would have spelled it differently like the original spelling. My family and good friends do call me Daph. I?m okay with tht ." Dec. 27, 2019:
