  • "My name is spelled Corinna but SO many people spell it Corrina and pronounce it Co-ree-na when its really Cor-in-a its so annoying. I have never met anyone with the same name which I'm kind of happy about because I feel really unique and independent. Also auto correct thinks my name is spelled wrong. ruuude! A lot of adults complement me on my name which makes me feel good. also, when i was younger i wanted a "normal" name but now i love it <3 when i'm older i kind of want to go by CJ because my middle name starts with a J" Nov. 22, 2015: Report as inappropriate

  • "Corinna is my name. I live in the sw United States, so many people pronounce it like a Mexican name...and it is annoying but i correct them. It is pronounced Core-in'-a. I do not know anyone else with this name, but i know several Corinnes. I spell my nick-name Corrie (the Cory spellling is a boy's name) I do know several male Corys. It was my paternal grandmother's middle name. There was a popular song in the 60's titled Corina, Corina...but that is an entillrely different name. And it does mean maiden in greek, in Spanish, corazon means heart...which is where ti\he Mexican version comes from." May. 17, 2010: Report as inappropriate

  • "This is my girlfriends name. People spell it wrong all the time. She claims that it means maiden in greek, but I'm not sure. It's pronounced "Core-reen-a". I know no one with the same name, and she always finds it hard to get key rings and stuff with the right spelling on!" Jul. 3, 2007: Report as inappropriate

  • "My name is Corinna Jean, born in 1950 and I grew up in the west, I was named after my aunt who was born in the SW. No one had my name or could they pronounce it correctly and often spelled it Corrina, like the movie. I dropped an "n" when I was 13 and told everyone my name was Corina. Sorry I did that, People in the south know the name." Jul. 3, 2018: Report as inappropriate
