"I hated my name when I was growing up, but as an adult i grew to love it and i think its the most fabulous name ever! It is however annoying that you can never find and personalized items with that name. And the other most annoying thing is how people ALWAYS say it wrong or spell it wrong. Like, how do you get CHRISTINA from reading CHRISTA? I'm called Crystal, Chrissy, Cristina, Kristen, Kristal everything BUT my name. The only alternative that I have taken a liking to is "Chris", which is what my family and close friends call me. Im 30 years old and in my entire life ive only met 3 people with the name Christa, spelled the exact same way. I was told it is a German name, but I just heard now that it is a Greek name? Either way, my name is beautiful and I love it!" Jul. 22, 2015:
"My name is Christa and I absolutely love it!. But sometimes people spell my name with a "K" instead of a "C" but most if the time some of my friends would call me Crystal which is so anoying! But other then that I really love my name Christa." Jul. 5, 2014:
"I love the name Christa. It makes me think of Christa from the Walking Dead: the Game, who is the most bad*ss pregnant woman I have ever seen! My name isn't Christa, but it's a VERY pretty name. :)" Oct. 16, 2013:
Feb. 11, 2011:
"I love my name vary much.I do answer to chris

"Yea, i'm happy for my name. But its definitely unique. I'm the only Christa I know, and it is frustrating that i can never find a keychain or whatever, but oh well. I think it's better to be unique. All of my friends have always called me something like "Kista" and i don't mind. It's finally good to hear that you're not the only Christa in the world!" Apr. 6, 2009:
"My name is Christa as well. I was named after my German great-aunt. I hate it when people just see your name on paper and read the first few letters and just assume it's Christina or Christy... arg! But I think my name is beautiful. :)" Feb. 5, 2009:
"Im a christa! :) I like it too, and was also named after Christa McAuliffe. Everyone i meet at first calles me Christina, or spells it with a K." Aug. 17, 2008:
"My name is Christa Ilove my name I got it from my dad Christopher down where i live not many people have this name my bus driver always called me Christy. I love my name I think god blessed me with this name" Jul. 28, 2008:
"This is what I go by. My real name is Christina but no one in the world calls me that...everyone calls me Christa. I think it's a beautiful name and I've always loved it especially from Fern GUlly!! (Even though hers is spelling Krista) It really really bothers me when people call me Chris or Crystal. That is NOT my name...I wish people would listen when I say my name!" Jul. 19, 2008:
"I love my name too... It is hard to find personalized items...or if you do Christa is spelled with a K or with no H or something. But I love my name...Even when people spell it wrong... or call me Christina (for some reason that name is stuck in people's brains when they see Christa). I wouldn't change it for the world.
The one knick name that i always hated was Christy though. It used to drive me nuts when people would call me that. The only nicknames I answered to were Chrissy or Chris." Jun. 16, 2008:
"My name is christa too, But ya i do agree, every time i go look for a key chain or anything like that i get rele, rele mad cause there is only names like crystal, christine, christina, ect "ugh".But i still Lovee my name! XD" May. 3, 2008:
"My name is Christa. I love my name! It is the best name in the world! I really hate it when people assume my name is Christina! It's not!" Dec. 9, 2007:
"Christa is my name and I love it. I tease my kids about names their kids Christabell when they grow up. I agree that I couldn't fing anything with my name on it growing up, but that made me feel unique. I wanted that with my children, but because of my husband's name and the teasing he endured we settled on fashionable classic names." Sep. 10, 2007:
"I was born on Christmas Eve so my parents thought that the name Christa would suit the occasion. I love my name, everybody that hears it always tells me that I have a beautiful name." Aug. 2, 2007:
"I love being Christa! People often want to spell it with a K and I love throwing them off saying it is Ch! Plus I was named after me Grandmother!" Jan. 31, 2007:
"Christa is my daughter's name and it is the coolest. I wanted to name her after myself but I couldn't so I named her as close to Christy as I could." Oct. 14, 2006:
"well my name is Christa but for some odd reason my printmaking teacher calls me Christy and I dont know why its weird" Sep. 16, 2006:
"Only know of two... one born in Germany, so guess "Ch" rista is the German spelling. Both gals could never find any of the personalized things the other girls were buying/wearing as young gals.. bracelets/personalized items, etc. but that doesn't bother them so much as adults." May. 11, 2006:
"My name is Christa and I have always loved it. I do have many people that try to spell it with a K. I am adamant that is the "wrong" way to spell it. When I went to Germany I found many items with my name spelled the "right way" and that made me even prouder of my German heritage!" Jan. 23, 2006:

"This is my name, and I strongly dislike it. Despite being simple, (how hard can a Chris with a -ta on the end be to say) no one says it right, its Christine, Christina, Kristen, Crystal, a million other Chris-variations but never Christa, and I hate when people call me Chris, its masculine, generic, boring. It is ironic people can't say Christa but now they always get my youngest sisters name right, Siri." Nov. 9, 2016:
"My name is Christa, I am 18 and I absolutely hate my name. I think this name sounds like the name of a girl with manly features. I do not consider myself ugly, but the way my name sounds makes me feel ugly. The only thing I like about my name is the fact that or was given to me by my grandpa, which is why I will not change my name legally. When I was younger I was often teased because of my name, because it sounded like a boys name. I would go by a variation of my name, but I do not like any of the variations, especially Chris or Chrissy. I also do not like the fact that my first name comes from my dads middle name Chris. I do not like that Christa is of german descent. I take no pride in my german heritage, I also come from many other predominantly white races, that are all mixed together. I have nothing against the germans today, but I do not like having any like to germans past. I also do not see how any guy could see the name Christa as sexy. All in all I do not like this name, and wish I could have been given another name, even an extremely common name would be better than this name." Jun. 16, 2014:
"I feel the same. Because everyone else has all these keychains with their name on it and everytime I look so hopefully, but NEVER has there been one. And EVERYONE spells and pronouces my name wrong, either saying, "Christina, Chirstine, Kristen, etc." And everytime, my name tag always says "Krista." *sigh*" Jul. 18, 2007:
"I hate this name when I was little and tried to get personalized pencils and knick knacks I could never find any. People always get my name wrong and it's too individual. Blah Blah :P" Jul. 10, 2007:

"I used to love my name when I was growing up, no one else had the name Christa, it was very unique. I was born in 1952. But it has become much more common and I don?t care for it anymore, and everyone gets it wrong, calling me Christina,Chrystal,Trista....I say it?s spelled like Christ with an a on the end" Feb. 1, 2018:
"My name is Christa and i love my name. Its very unique but in a way its getting more and more popular which is a good thing. Many people do call me kristy and spell my name very weird but over all its a great name and it kinda fits who i am☺" Feb. 27, 2013:
""My name is Christa and everybody in my school calls me crystal and christina and it get annoying. -____- And EVERYBODY spells my name wrong they either spell it "Krista" or "Crista" and its Annoying to. iGet fustered with it.. and but Anyways its kinda a good name. :3" Feb. 27, 2012:
"I was born on Christmas, so my parents named me Christa. I wouldn't describe myself as religious, but I have always felt intimate with Christ." Sep. 2, 2010:
"My name is Christa Marie. I liked the name overall, but have some of the same complaints as the others. I hated being called Christy or Christina or people spelling it with a K or C with no H. I didn't like that I couldn't find nic nacs either. I didn't know many Christa's growing up but it's seems that it's becoming more popular these days." Jun. 5, 2010:
"HI my name is Christa I too also hate being called crystal....ehhh so annoying and no one thinks to spell it ch they always go for k first or c with no h! I can't decide if I like it all that much its just like christa! Not like ohhhh baby chrisssss-taaaaa! even though I am a smokin hot blonde! It is not too common of a name I have noticed I have only met a handfull! And none have spelt it CH! wooo wooo raise the roof chrissssss-taaaaa's" May. 24, 2010:
"My name is Christa (1978)- I don't particularly like it. It is definitely better than more common/trendy Chris names - like Christina,Kristen, etc. People have ALWAYS mispronounced it -- call me Christy, Kristen, Christine, Christina, Crystal, everything BUT Christa. They also spell it with a K, or Cy..... I STILL have to spell it out every time I am filling out a form on the phone etc. and they usually get it wrong! Even people who know me mis-pronounce it -- then get irritated when I don't realize they are talking to me!!
Its not too popular -- there were a few other Christa's growing up, never another in my class - BUT there would be a few other Chris names so it was always confusing. I've met one little girl (3-4 years old) named Christa recently - but other than that no one has my name. My husband's name is Christopher (Chris) and that is just annoying! I'm not a big fan of the Chris names in general -- HIS name is SO popular he has 5-6 friends with the same name and they just go by their last names!" Apr. 18, 2010:
"My name is Christa Eve! I love my name and I also hate when people call me Crystal... I always correct them. I am named after my grandmothers sister from Germany. I didn't realize there were so many others out there. ROCK ON CHRISTA'S!! WooHoo" Feb. 3, 2010:
"my name is christa and i love it i thought that no one had it but i much be the sexyest and hotest out there..jk ladys:)" Aug. 27, 2009:
"Hey my name is Christa.....its hard to find key chains with my name as well...my brother's name is Christoffe...lol.. I love it ...its unique" Apr. 11, 2009:
"I Love My Name!
Everybody Always Tells Me How Beautiful It Is.
Only Problem Is .. My Dad's Name Is Chris And .. My Sister's Name Is Christy.
So You Can Imagine What It's Like In Our House!
I Hate Being Called Chris, Christina, Chrissy!
Chris Just Sounds So Masculine, And i Hate It "/" Aug. 14, 2008:
"Hey my name is Christa and i love it! At times it can be annoying though, when you can't find key chains or mugs with your name on it. I only found my name once and it was a magnet! I was named after the first teacher in space so thats pretty cool. I love it when people ask me if i got named after anyone. Other than that stuff i love my name!!" Aug. 12, 2008:
"Ofcourse I identify with all other Christas. No there's rarely knick nacks that have it and yes everyone seems to call us every other variant.
Even the mother who named me calls me Chris because she doesn't like the sound of "Cris-duh' "
However recently I met a German woman who's daughter has the name. She told me its a very old geraman name. She didnt say crisduh'
She emphasised the S sound the most and the T sound was also prominent.
Perhaps I have been uncomfortable with my name because I have pronounced it wrong for 39 years!" Sep. 10, 2007:
"OMG @ comment left on Aug 2! I was born on Christmas Eve and was named Christa 2!!! Wow weird lol." Aug. 26, 2007:
"My name is Christa too. I agree about never finding anything personlized as a child. That made me mad. But, I always have people calling me Christal, Christina, or some other Chris name. Seems people don't really read my name, they just assume its something it's not. So often at the doctors office they call out Christina and I am like.. YOu mean CHRISTA? But, I do like my name now." Aug. 24, 2007:
"My name is also Christa and I love it! I live in Australia now and many people say that it is unusual and they have never heard of it, mostly they will call me Christina until I correct them. I lived in Germany for a while and met quite a few Christas there. My name has alwasy felt special to me, I was also named after my grandmother. Best of all, I married a Chris!" May. 3, 2007:
"My mother's name. It is a nice name. She sometimes goes by Crystal. It sounds rich, and she is rich, so it adds to her flair." Jun. 4, 2006:
"People never get the name right - I am called anything from Christy to Christal to Kristin to Christina. . . UGH . . ." Jan. 31, 2006:
