"My name is 'Charlea', pronounced 'Charlie'. I hated it when I was little and always begged my mom to change my name. But it has most definetly grown on me! I am named after my mom's dad- Charles and my dad's dad- Charlie. I always get compliments on my name and many people find it quite funny that a 5'0 girl is named this but I think the femeninity in Charlea is very apparent -- especially with the spelling." "We named our daughter Charley Kingston in 2011. She's named after my great grandfather so we could have some part of my family name bc my twins obviously have their father's last name. People either love it or hate it, but most that didn't care for it in the beginning love it now! She is most definitely a smart, beautiful Charley!" Dec. 3, 2013:

"This is my daughter's name, but spelled "Charli". Her middle name is "Anna". She is named after her daddy, "Charles", and his mother, "Anna". She's 5 years old now (as of Feb. 2010) and we can't imagine her with any other name. She's extremely smart (reading 2nd grade level by age 4 and a half), loves life, very outgoing and popular with her friends, a healthy mix of girlie-girl and tom-boy. She's a blonde, blue-eyed beauty. The only comments we get about her name is "I LOVE that name!" or "Is that short for anything?" She couldn't have any other name but Charli." Feb. 10, 2010:

"Hi my name is Charlie and I am a woman. I didn?t like it at first only because of the reaction of some of my teachers when I started kindergarten. We moved and I went to the 3rd grade. I got a surprised reaction from the other kids. So I went home crying to my mom. She told me that it?s not the name but the person inside. She told that I was beautiful & special. She knew when I was born. I have loved my name since then. I have gotten a kick out of reactions from people when they meet me. Since I?m very feminine & petite and only 5?2. I named my daughter a unisex name ?Kelcey ?. She told me that she loves my name. My grandma & mom name was the same & unisex. My younger sisters is too. But my remaining siblings have common names. So many people have told me that they love my name! My nieces & nephews call me Aunt Charlie . My great nieces & nephews call me Aunt Cha-Cha. I?m Ms. Charlie at work. All of the guys tell me that it?s a sexy name. When I was a young adult the guys gave me the nickname ? Fire Starter? after the Movie staring Drew Barrymore. Years ago I met a girl named Charlie. Over the years more moms are naming there daughters Charlie or other variations. It?s a cool name & people love to get to know the girl/woman name ?Charlie?❤️❤️" Dec. 9, 2018:

"This is actually my name, but I spell it differently. Many, many people assume it's short for Charlotte or something and it's often pronounced wrong. People say it with a soft "C" and it's actually a hard "C" like Charlie Brown." Feb. 26, 2008:
"i love being names charlie it is so original but the only thing is when people ask you your name and you tell them they either give you a wierd look or just stare at you!!" May. 5, 2006:
