"My name is Charlotte. I have a little sister named Amelia. We call her Emmy." Sep. 3, 2019:
"My daughter is 5 and her name is Amelia. We call her Millie though. Everyone always loves her name and it took us until this year to meet another Amelia that was just born." Jan. 17, 2017:
"Aliens abducted my brain, so "I" was on Proxima Centauri 'bout 8 years ago for 'bout two weeks. "I" enjoyed the premier of the interstellar broadcast of "Am?lie" as it arrived on the screens there. I'm still touched, and I think it's because I like french music and I'm a human, and not, like the centauries, a centaurian.
Best regards

"Yes, My name is Amelia. I like it because it is not common. My nickname is Mimi. As a child people misspelled and mispronounced my name alot." Nov. 22, 2012:
"I LOVE the name Amelia!!! It's soo unique, and im glad my name isn't like Sarah or Elizabeth, because thats just too common. When i was little, my sister coudn't pronounce my name so she called me Mia, and that is my nickname now. I love the name Mia, and my best friends call me Mia and my friends call me Amelia. And whenever i text people they call me Mia just because it's shorter lol! I am very happy, lound, fun to be with, and pretty much the person who starts the party. Haha maybe not but i know alot of people tell me they are always happy around me, which makes me happy!! i love the name Amelia" Jun. 13, 2011:
"My name is Amelia, and I really like it. Never had a problem with people pronouncing it or spelling it wrong - they usually ask how to spell it if they're not sure. I like that it's not super common, but it's also not weird. I think it's a really pretty name." Apr. 4, 2011:
"i love my name! everybody always compliments it saying it's a beautiful name! and i've never been mistaken for someone else, but some people spell it wrong even thought it really simple to spell!" Jan. 24, 2011:
"It makes me proud that I was named after my great grandmother and godmother Amelia. My parents named me Amelia Maurine. My family calls me Mimi. I also got teased with the character, "Amelia Bedelia" but that was grade school. Friends in my past always pronounced my name as Emily or Amanda or misspelled it, but I corrected them.
Hadn't met another Amelia until the other day at the library. I'm glad the name is making a comeback in the younger generation. The name stands out from the other names and people always comment about Amelia Earhart when they first meet me. I love it." Jan. 15, 2011:
"It is my daughter's name and everyone in the family loves it. The only downside is that it's popularity has increased so much over the last three years. My husband and I didn't want something that wasn't too popular, but we loved the name so much that we didn't really care." Oct. 22, 2009:
"My daughter's name is Amelia. She is named in part for one of her grandmothers whose middle name was Amelia, and in part because we think it is a beautiful name. Like others, she has been called Amanda and Emily a lot; however, as Amelia is becoming more popular, she doesn't get her name mispronounced too much any more. Her nickname is Millie and my pet name for her is Milz. She likes Millie, but will only let me call her Milz because she considers Milz to be a special name meant just for us." Oct. 12, 2009:
"Our daughter's name is Amelia, and we call her Mia. We also considered Ami as a nickname (ohm-i), but think Mia is funkier. Amelia is a beautiful name, and Amelia Earhart is a great role model." Sep. 18, 2009:
"When I was younger I got called Amelia Bedilia too alot, but I didn't really mind. But I *really* don't like when people mistake my name, I've been called Amanda, Emily, Amy, Olivia.... There's a group of girls that call me Amilli, on purpose I think. But I really like my name, when people get it right!" Jan. 16, 2009:
"HELLO MY NAME IS AMELIA people always have thought the name amelia is asian of some sort and think i am asian but i am not. People also call me amelia bedilia and amillion and i hate those names greatly some people also call me millie or mill. most people spell my name wrong like amilia or amilea but you spell it just like you say it. I have only met one person at my school named amelia. I am twelve years old and sometimes i think my name is weird and different but overall i love my name it is actually very pretty!" Sep. 22, 2008:
"My Daughter's name is Amelia Rose. Everywhere we go people ask her name and when we tell them, they always say how beautiful her name is! We've talked about using the nick name Mia, but have always called her Amelia. We have had some people call her "Amelia Bedelia" and I find it annoying. Hopefully she won't have to deal with too much of that once she starts school!" Jul. 15, 2008:
"My four year old cousin has the name Amelia and we all love it, she especially. we call her Meel, or meely. But she absorbs the attention and calls herself amelia bedielia," May. 15, 2008:
"my name is Amelia and i really like it i am 12 years old. there are three kids in my middle school with this name and were all in different grades. alot of the times peple will tease me. my math teacher always calls me amelia bedilia and i dont mind it but alot of people spell it wrong the most common mistake people make is spelling it umilia and emilia and amilia. it bugs me so much that some people dont even give my name a second thought and carlessly miss speel it.all my friends have cups and things with their name on it and i always have to get amy.i have tons of nicknames though like meal, melia, amelz, mia, amy and such. but i really love my name." "my name is Emelia and i get compliments all the time. Its a beautiful name!!!" May. 13, 2007:
"I've never been crazy about my name, but now that I'm a little older (16) it's starting to grow on me. My mother chose it because it sounded Italian. Everyone tells me it's such a pretty name, and every time I tell people what my name is, they compliment me on it. My cousin likes to call me 'Mia' like from the Princess Diaries." Jan. 6, 2007:
"My eldest daughter is called Amelia. She is now 2 years old and calls herself 'MeeMee'. We are Brits living in a Spanish speaking country and the name is popular in both English and Spanish, a truly international name. However, it is pronounced A-mel-ia in Spanish, rather than A-mee-lia, but MeeMee works in both languages. People of all nationalities tell me how lovely the name is, and she really suits it too." Jan. 3, 2007:
"My name is Amelia and I'm 15 years old. My mom got my name off a headstone in a cemetary when she was taking a walk there. When I was in Elementry kids would call me "Amelia Bedelia" which for a while made me hate it. I usually go by Mae because when I was learning how to talk it was to hard for me to say so I would call myself Mae and it stuck. Over all I would say Amelia is an okay name. Just don't call them 'Milly' or 'Leah'. I hate that..." Dec. 3, 2006:
"my daughter is Amelia Rose.it wasnt till my dad researched our family tree after she was born that we found aunties on both sides called amelia!!" Oct. 7, 2006:

"My name ia amelia and i like it. For the longest time i hated it but now i think it is pretty. A lot of people think it is Amanda and a lot cant spell it! I get "amileia" and "emilia" and others, but over all, im glad im an Amelia!" Jul. 10, 2006:

"In the early 1970?s I was named after an Amelia who at the time was in her late 50?s. To me it was always a grandma name & I hated it. I know of 2 other girls that were named after her and I knew an Amelia at school when I was about 12. Other than that I never met another Amelia until ?everyone? started naming their babies ?old fashioned? names. I have always been called Amy. When the name started becoming popular someone asked if I was going to start going by Amelia. No. I still don?t like the name. Someone was once so excited to tell me they named their baby Amelia ?just like? me & being a little too honest, I said ?I?m sorry?. I don?t hate it for others anymore, but I do hate when anyone calls me Amelia." Jan. 23, 2020:
"My daughter is named Amelia Lilyann. Still love both names 12 years later! We usually use her full name, but if using a nickname: Mimi, Mim or Meals. When she was little, her sister could not pronounce, so "Ya-Ya" was what she (& we) called her. People often leave of the "A" so "me-lia" is said. Her Nana calls her "Millie". Poor girl, beautiful real name, so many variations used! She is always glad to be able to find her name on products though, unlike her sister Nadia! :)" Feb. 24, 2018:
"This is my name. People usually say, oh that?s a pretty name.? Nobody really pronounces it wrongs but some people try to spell it Emelia, which I have met some Emelias. I have one Amelia who goes to my dance studio. She?s like 5 though. And then last year there was an Amelia who was like 13-14. I am proud to have the name Amelia. My mom said she named me that cause she wanted me to be stronge and confident like Amelia Air heart. Yes I know I spelt her last name wrong." Dec. 3, 2017:
"My best friend is called Amelia (or MeMe as I call her) she has black hair and light brown eyes and its a very beautiful name for a beautiful girl. She often gets mistaken for 'Emily' or 'Emma-Leigh' but that could be because she's shy and quiet. We both have never met another Amelia which is a shame because its such a pretty name" May. 27, 2016:
"My name is Amelia. I am from India. I have never heard anyone with this name till 2 years back. No one in my place starting from my parents, teachers or friends could pronounce my name properly. I was often teased as amoeba or anemia stuff. I used to feel bad. But nevertheless I loved my name because it was unique n so so uncommon. My fren helped me actually understand my name better like it's pronunciation the meaning n stuffs. I like the fact that it is an uncommon name. Till date people pronounce my name wrong like amelie ah-may-lia. I got used to the ideas that it is difficult for them as it is not a native language name. . My frens Cal me Amul, ame . I am so proud to have this name 😊 👍😂" Oct. 24, 2014:

"My daughter's name is Amelia Ruth, and we call her Eli (pronounced Eely). She's a beautiful and bubbly 4 year old. We love her name!" Aug. 10, 2008:
"My Granddaughter is called Amelia Lee, Lee being the name of her 'Uncle' who died as a baby. People are always commenting on how nice it is and have even copied it for their children. She gets called Millie by a lot of people which is also cute but I always use Amelia as I think it is the most beautiful name. I was taught by a Nun who was called Sister Amelia and she was lovely, I mentioned this to my daughter and that's how she came to consider the name when she was pregnant., We all love it." May. 14, 2008:
"i love the name amelia :) i'm thinking of naming my baby girl it, but i will probably end up changing the spelling. my mother's middle name is lee, so i would like to incorporate it into the name. what do you think about "ameilea" or "amelea" or "ameleea"? im not sure i like any of them?" Apr. 20, 2008:

"i looooove this name! its so unique and original :)" Feb. 13, 2008:
"My name is Amelia and I love it. I always get compliments about how pretty it is, and I love that not many people are called it, but it is still a known and traditional name. Most people call me Emelia rather than Amelia, even if they know how it is spelt, i am not sure why! People often leave of the first 'a' so i get melia a lot, as well as millie and meals (never mia or minnie). It has got more popular as the years have gone, and i hear a lot of little girls being called Amelia and its soo cute! If my parents had known about the name Ameliż when i was born they would have called me that." Dec. 26, 2007:
"My name is Amelia and I have always loved it. I think it's a beautiful name and unusual too. My nickname is Mia, and I love that too." Dec. 16, 2007:
"My name is Amelia and People almost ALWAYS call me Amanda ... That, or they butcher the pronunciation since they never really hear it. I've had people pronounce it in various ways, the most annoying, perhaps, being "Ah-MUL-e-ah".
Personally, it's always been frustrating when I was younger; I can never find things with my name on them, and perhaps this is just me, but it always made me feel strange or weird partially because no one else ever shared my name and mine always sounded so different than everyone else's.
Another thing was that when I was younger, there was no end to the jokes about me being stupid, because my name was Amelia- I share the name of a [not so smart] popular children's book character; "Amelia Bedelia." Part of the reason why I got so much ridicule for it could have been because I have a last name that starts with "B" and that is similar to "Bedelia", but just the same, I remember how much it bothered me as a child.
The other thing is that as a kid, people used to assume I was strange because my name was "strange". It hasn't been until recently in High School when people actually started complimenting me on it, and giving me positive comments/compliments on it. However, now I don't mind it as much, and seeing as how i have rarely ever seen another person with my same name, I kind of like it because it makes me feel more unique. =)
That's just me though and my personal experience, so take from it what you will =)" Dec. 2, 2007:
"It is a very pretty girly name , but its not really to my taste. I find it a little bit fussy sounding. My friends called their daughter this, so obviously love it. I think i must be in the minority to not be as keen, maybe ill change my mind once ive heard it a bit more." Oct. 14, 2007:
"Amelia is the best name in the world! I have a friend named Gabrielle and she is so jealous of my unreal name - she said she wanted to change her name to Amelia!!!" Mar. 16, 2007:
"Peole tell me how beautiful my name is all the time." Dec. 24, 2006:
"My name is Amelia, and I have to admit, growing up a lot of kids would pick on my name. Although, as I've gotten older, everyone who hears my name loves it" Aug. 17, 2006:
"My name is Amelia, and when I was younger kids would always call me Amelia Bedilia, after the scatter-brained maid in the children's books. I hated that, so I went by Emmy. Now I go by my full name, and get a lot of compliments." Jun. 19, 2006:
