"My grandmother's name was Adelle. When I have my little girl, I plan on giving her the middle name Adelle. My grandmother passed away when I was thirteen. I know how much she would have wanted to be with my children every day she could. This is my own special way of remembering her every time I see my daughter." Sep. 5, 2009:
"This is my daughters middle name and I wish that this was her first I have been calling her Adelle. I love this name.
Her full name is Lainey Adelle. I believe that when she is an adult she will go by Adelle." Mar. 12, 2009:
"People tend to spell my name with one l; I usually have to tell them there are two. My name is the perfect fit for me...I love how unique it is and how it rolls off your tongue. Since my name is not very common, I usually have to give people a tip to help them remember (I tell them to pronounce it like "a Dell" computer; it always works). I know very few other Adelles, including the Adeles with one l. When I was a little girl I started counting every time I met an Adelle/Adele. I don't have an exact count any more, but I'd say since that time I still haven't come across more than 25. This includes the Adelle's I haven't necessarily met, like this one time where I was at Wendy's and I noticed a sign for an "Adele" employee of the month. When I do however meet an Adelle (or Adele) in person, one of us will get very excited. Ironically, just four days ago I was in the shopping outlet and introduced myself as "Adelle" to someone, while a bypasser exclaimed, "Your name is Adelle! Mine is too!". It can be quite amusing. Such as a not fond memory of grade school when other kids would enjoy changing the song, "The farmer and the Dell" to "The farmer and Adelle"! I endured this from kindergarten to even up into the 5th grade when all the boys from the entire grade sang it to me while lined up outside between classes!! Nevertheless, I love and have always loved my name; now that I am older I find it to be rather sophisticated, yet still playful all the same." Jan. 11, 2008:
"I like this name, with this spelling the most. Is it too old-fashioned for a 2008 baby?" Dec. 15, 2007:
