"This is my name too I am a boy. most people say it teegen but the correct way to pronounce it is tagen. I have never met any one with even near the same name but I have heard of Sara and Tegan. Im glad to know that other people have my name too I thought I was the only one who had this name." Nov. 16, 2015:
"Tegan is my daughter's name. I had not heard of it until 2002 and loved it so much that I named my daughter Tegan when she was born in 2003. Most people say it incorrectly, but it is pronounced Tee-gan. I have not met anyone with the same name. I had not evern heard of the singer until about 2 years ago... I get alot of compliments on how beautiful the name is. Definitely does not strike me as a boy name though. I found the origin of the name to be Celtic and meaning beautiful/loving/doe." "Ok, this is my name and I LOVE it- but I'm most certainly not a boy! Also, it wasn't as trendy when I was a kid- by DOB is Aug '84- even just a few years ago no one had heard of it, now I get "Oh, yeah, I've heard it- some singer, right?" Annoying. Anyway, it's a Welsh name that means "fair/beautiful". Not particularly masculine..." Apr. 29, 2009:

"This is my son?s name. I found it in the boy section of a baby name book in 2005. Said the meaning was strong and good looking. I loved and still love the way it sounds, although it?s mostly used as a girl?s name. Oh well, it suits him and is unique, just like him." Jan. 29, 2020:
