"We picked this name for our baby boy in 2000. People do sometimes spell it with an AR but as new parents we felt the ER was more boy like at that time. All the girls love his name and I think he's pretty fond of it as well. I mostly call him Sky from habit and he's never acted like it bothered him. We loved this name when we picked it. We loved what it meant and its uniqueness." Nov. 2, 2020:
"I have never met another boy named Skyler. I know a girl named Skyla. But it?s definitely not Skyler. It?s a very unique name that most people don?t know how to spell unless you pronounce it with a hard er sound." Apr. 1, 2019:
"Nothing HEAVY about this name, It is new and who wants a common every day ho hum same name everyone else has. It sounds like a boy name. All the girls love my son's name." Jul. 8, 2014:
"I am Skyler. I love having a unique name. I have only met a couple other Skyler's and they have all been younger than me (I was born in '87). There are only a couple problems with this name; people will always tend to think it's Skylar (with an "a") and if you don't say it clearly enough, people will think you're saying Scott or something completely off. When I was really young people said it was a hippy name and that wasn't too pleasant. I wouldn't want any other name though, I have grown quite fond of it and makes me unique in at least one way. :)" Apr. 4, 2006:

"It's an ok name. It's usually assumed to be a girls name, and people usually spell it Skylar, but its a decent rarity. Common enough that its not odd, but rare enough that you only meat another one once and a while." Sep. 21, 2018:
"My name is Skyler. When I tell people my name, they spell it with an ?a? (Skylar) and it?s kinda annoying. This name makes me feel unique because I don?t want a common name that everyone has. I have met one Skyler before and they were older. Being a Skyler is pretty sweet overall :)" Apr. 26, 2018:

"We named our son, Skyler 23 years ago because it was unusual. He doesn't like to be called Sky but he used to have an aunt get away with calling him Skyman. :)" Oct. 18, 2007:
"We named our soon Skyler because we wanted something different. The original spelling is Schuyler but we thought people would pronounce it wrong so we went with a simple spelling. I have not found anyone my sons age with this name. However we have met both boys and girls with the same name same spelling that are younger than my son." Jun. 21, 2007:
