"My 9month olds soms same is Raleigh born I'm 2019. Ice never meet or heard of another raleigh it gets pronoused wrong all the time but I dont mind correcting them. I normally just say "raleigh. Like raleigh North Carolina" I dont really see this ad a boy name the the way it is pronouslced but I can see why the spelling would confuse some one in my book it's perfect" Dec. 12, 2019:
"My daughters name is Raileigh pronounced 'Ray-Lee' I thought I'd made up this name all by myself back when she was born in 2013 but obviously not lol we are from the UK." May. 13, 2018:
"My name is Raleigh, I am a guy. I love my name, I usually get comments like 'that's a cool name' etc etc. People sort of often mispronounce it as rally or ray-lee, but I am used to it. I have met/know of four other Raleighs growing up, three were boys and one was a girl. I personally think its a name for a boy, but obviously I am biased.." Apr. 6, 2017:
"We are naming our daughter Raleigh Lane. Pronounced RAH-LEE exactly like the city. Many people think I say Riley or when they read it they think it's pronounced Ray-Lee (which I hate)... They obviously didn't pay attention to capital cities in social studies.
Aside from the mispronunciation, I can't shake this name for our daughter. I also hate when people say it is a "boy's name" and refer to Sir Walter Raleigh.... Raleigh is a surname so saying that it is masculine because of Sir Walter Raleigh does not make sense. It's a perfectly unisex name and I like it for both boys and girls. We just happen to like it specifically for a girl." May. 6, 2016:
"naming my unborn child this. I want to spell it Raleigh as well but dad is concerned it will be pronounced ral-lay instead of ral-lee. Maybe we should just spell is rallee or rallie or rally." Sep. 11, 2015:
"We are naming our son (Rally) but i really want to spell it Raleigh. Anyone who has this as a name.....has it been pronounced wrong?" Apr. 27, 2014:
"my name is Raleigh I'm a guy. the only other Raleigh I've met was a san diego chargers football player named Raleigh McKenzie years ago. Raleigh is the main character's name in the new movie Pacific Rim. kinda cool" Dec. 17, 2013:
"My only son is named Raleigh and he is 12. He was named after a very dear friend of mine who was about 85 when by son was born. It is my all time favorite boy name & most people have to have it spelled & repeated but that's OK. Once I say "like North Carolina" they get it." Dec. 3, 2012:
"I'm 26 and a proud father, my son is 2 now, his name is also Raleigh, never meet anyone with the name, maybe some day." Aug. 10, 2010:
"I love my name! I think it's considered a boy's name, but I am a girl. I pronounce it RAW-LEE, and it get so annoying because hardly anyone ever pronounces it correctly. They either say Riley (where are they getting that "I" from?!), RAY-LEE, and occasionally Rally." May. 30, 2009:
"i have a three and a half yr old daughter and her name is Raeleigh just because my middle name is Ray and my wifes is leigh we have never met any one with the same name and her its pronounced Ray leigh" Feb. 3, 2009:
"My daughter's name is Raleigh (pronounced rally in her case). It is quite unique. I find it funny that her 2nd cousin's name is Riley though. Won't that make family reunions confusing (Raleigh was first btw hehe)" Aug. 5, 2008:

"I am a boy named Raleigh. Very few people pronounce or spell it right. I pronounce it like the capital of North Carolina which is the correct pronunciation for a boy. I don't really see this as a girl's name but to each their own." Jan. 7, 2009:
