"My dad's name was Nestor. I didn't really like his name when I was younger but did as an adult. Friends who new him for a long time called him Nest-a" Aug. 27, 2009:
"My name is Nestor, and I'm glad it is because it is unique and I haven't met that many people with it, many people do pronouce it wrong, for example, like Lestor, Ernest, or Ernesto. My friends pronounce it Nest-a, this happens after spending a lot of time with them, however, I'm 17 years of age and I feel my name has helped me give the appearance of a more mature young adult. Overall I really like this name. Wouldn't change it for anything at all." Sep. 11, 2006:

"Nestor was my uncle?s name who was my grandfather?s first born son, my grandfather was also named Nestor and my great grandfather too. My grandfather and his father were born in Belgium. My uncle was born in France as by 1920 the family had moved to France. So Nestor for me is pronounced the French way and as an English person i would still pronounce it as Nes tor like a tor. I do wonder where they got the name from as first time it appears in the family tree is 1865. When the most popular names were Jean, Louis, Pierre, Joseph ... where did Nestor come from, it must have been quite unusual in 1865." Jan. 24, 2021:
