  • "I?m a Jaren?I?m a girl who was born in 1981. I hated this name growing up because (if one couldn?t see me) it was always assumed I was a boy. My name was always mistaken for Jason, Jared, Jeremy, or Karen. As a 5 year old I would cry when people would announce my name and it would come out wrong. That was then. Now I love this name. I feel my name has gotten me opportunities I wouldn?t have had otherwise. People are always commenting that my name is pretty or unique. I love my name. I love that it is so different." • "We named our now teenage son Jaren, and I love that it's unique yet a strong name. We chose to spell it this way instead of Jaron because I worried it would get mispronounced as Ja-RON...a boy we are familiar with 5 years older than him has had that happen. Still LOVE the name!" • "It's a good name but everyone mishears it for Jared, I like having the name though." May. 19, 2017: Report as inappropriate

  • "I named my son Jerron when he was born in 1998 (pronunciation rhymes with Sharon). People always mis-pronounce his name like Ja-RON. But once I say the name people love it. I have never met another Jerron, especially with his spelling." Nov. 25, 2013: Report as inappropriate

  • "This is my name and I'm a girl. I've had the name for 28 years...therefore, to me, it will always be a girl name. When I was little I hated having a different name, but now I love the fact that I'm unique." Jul. 18, 2009: Report as inappropriate

  • "well its my name i'm a girl and it is ALWAYS splet wrong i spell it Jaryn and nobody can pronounce it either." Mar. 27, 2009: Report as inappropriate

  • "I'll name my 2nd boy Jarren. Our first boy's name is Jovan and we want to stay with "J" and be a bit creative. We love the sound of the name, and the meaning is also lovely-"sing with rejoicing"" May. 16, 2007: Report as inappropriate

  • "Jaren is a nice boy name if you want to be creative with names. I'm a Jaren and not ashamed to be one!" Aug. 26, 2006: Report as inappropriate

  • "I am in college and am slightly hurt that the information suggests that absolutely NO girls have been named Jaren - with this spelling - ever in the United States. I am a girl with the name Jaren. I looked on and searched to see how many other girls named Jaren were on this website. 97 people showed up with the name spelled Jaren - 9 did not state their sex, so of the 88 that did, 60 were male and 28 were female. is only open to highschool and college students, some of which have never even heard of this website. This information proves that there are more female Jarens in the US than just me...which calls for a correction of information on this page!!...Just thought I'd let you know!!;)" Apr. 26, 2006: Report as inappropriate

  • "This is My name, but I am a girl, NOT a boy!! I have been called by it for 22 years now. I love my name, there aren't too many of us out there, but there are some, within the past year I have met 3 Jaren's some spelled differently, but all pronounced the Karen but with a "J" and surprisingly all were girls! I actually have met a few boy Jaren's in my time, but I still think that it is pretty as a girls name than a boys name! I would not wish to have any other name...though it is a slight hassle in classes when a teacher calls my name; the look of shock in my professors faces when they first have me in class is priceless because they expect a boy to answer their call and instead they get my voice!!" Apr. 26, 2006: Report as inappropriate

  • "I really like the sound of this name. I have two other sons : Jackson, and Jaiden and am pregnant now so I would like to stay with the "J" theme. I would spell is Jarren." Dec. 15, 2005: Report as inappropriate
