"The name Clint is similar to Glenn in terms of mouth position which helps explain the confusion. (I've thought about this a lot... and it's one of the reasons I hate bars). Both C and G are hard consonants, followed by L, I and E are short vowels, then N, and the T in Clint is simply comparatively quiet and will disappear if there's much ambient conversation." "My name is Clint. Of course, my dad was an Eastwood fan. Most of my friends are of Latin origin and speak spanish. The majority of them can not say my name. Sounds like "clean". I have met many latinos named Clint" Sep. 15, 2010:
"My husband's name is Clint and he has trouble with people mishearing it as Cliff, Clem, Glenn also! He hates it because of this, but I love it. His dad named him after the infamous Mr. Eastwood." Jan. 23, 2009:

"Eastwood made this name a winner. It will be better when it has aged and doesn't sound like parents took the name off the tv." Sep. 21, 2006:
"My name is 'Clinton' but I go by 'Clint'. In my life (born 1963) I've only met a dozen or so other people named 'Clinton' or 'Clint'. I like it. It is unique and strong. Obviously, much of that comes from the image generated by Clint Eastwood; but, so be it!" Aug. 4, 2005:
