  • "My name is Benton and I was born in the early 70s. I am named after a many great grandfather born in the early 1800s. Some people think it sounds 'distinguished' which can occassionly be off putting. I have received many complements from girls mostly over the years. My biggest problem with my name is training people to say it. They are not trying to be mean but will hear Bennett, Bendon, Brandon, Benson, Brant, Bent, and Ben. Some want to call me Ben but I never go by Ben except for my coffee name. The only other Benton was actually in my highschool class and then because the name was rare people got us confused in reference. Overall it has been a good name once I train people how to say it."
