Comment left May 11, 2013: "I am a Tracey born in 1965, I think the "e" adds character to the name. It seems to always get shortened to Trace...I don't mind, but wonder why others shorten it for me. I do like the name, it is cheery and cute!" (Report as inappropriate)

  • Comment left Apr 23, 2013: "When I was little I hated my name, I wanted something more unique, but now that I am older (born 1975) I abolutely love it! And I especially like that I am a Traci, no e. I think it adds a little more shine to it! lol I have actually learned to love when people ask me if its y or ey and I say just an i." Comment left Mar 08, 2013: "My name is Tracie. I've always liked my name. I was born in 1981. I would have liked the Tracy spelling as well, though. I thought it would not be the 'Tracy" experience to have people spell their name other ways since Tracy is the standard spelling and mine is an "alternate". i didn't know this happened to Tracys as well with other people spelling it wrong. Trac has been fine as a nickname, though people usually just call me Tracie." (Report as inappropriate)

  • Comment left Jan 12, 2013: "A lot of people (mainly my teachers) spell my name incorrectly. My name is spelled T R A C E Y ! & my teachers sometimes spell it tracee or traci ... Iknow a friend of my friend.has the name of tracey but its spelled tracy. & I have a teacher named tracey that's also spelled tracy. Its not that much of an excitement... imean its just a name. Everyone has one. Haha" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Oct 10, 2012: "I'm a guy Tracy born in 67, and it was tough growing with a girl's name. I changed to Trace to cope. People often wonder the nationality of "Trace" and are surprised when they learn my offical name is Tracy. I live in Germany where gender neutral names are illegal, so most Germans are quite surprised I have a girl's name. I tell them 20% of Tracys are guys, which they can't fathom. I haven't overcome the stigma of getting teased and beat up for this name, so I remain Trace." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Jul 20, 2012: "My name is Tracy, I was born in 1965 and love my name!" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Feb 24, 2012: "HI, I AM ALSO CALLED TRACEY WITH AN 'E' BEFORE THE 'C'. I WAS BORN IN 1983 AND I REALLY LOVE MY NAME, ESPECIALLY WHAT IT MEANS.I BELIEVE I AM A FIGHTER MAY BE BECAUSE OF MY NAME. THUMBS UP FOR ALL TRACYS IN THE WORLD. BE PROUD OF THE NAME. LOVE YOU ALL..." (Report as inappropriate)

  • Comment left Sep 09, 2011: "My name is Tracy and I was born in 1992. I really haven't met many Tracy's that are around the same age as me. Because of this I never really enjoyed me. It always sounds old fashioned and dated to me. While most girls around me have names like Jessica, Jennifer, Taylor, Michelle, etc, I've always felt my name sounded out of place. And people are constantly spelling it wrong. Like Tracey, Tracie, Traci. It's really annoying." (Report as inappropriate)

  • Comment left Jun 17, 2010: "My name is Tracy. I am female. I was born in 1973. I love the song "Tracy" by the Cufflinks. And I love my name as well. Lately it seems like everyone has been spelling my name wrong. They spell with an "ey" or "i" or "ie". It is so irritating to me. They don't even ask how I spell it, they just spell it the way they think it should be spelled...which is wrong. Tracy is the original spelling!!" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Apr 24, 2010: "LOVE my name! I know one other Tracy, a man named Tracey (I'm a her). My mom wanted a name that was not "little girly", that would suit me into adulthood. Good job Mom!" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Mar 13, 2009: "Love my name! I think it's cute and has a cheerful ring. I had a common maiden name and I went to school with a girl who had exactly the same first and last name. The company I work for has five Tracys. I one point we were the most common name only after Michael." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Oct 13, 2008: "I'm a Tracy! I was born in the 1990s, and I have not yet met another Tracy. I don't really like it when people write my name with an "e" or something... Tracy is the only way it should be spelled. I LOVE my name! It's very pretty, and I'm really happy that it means "fighter" because that's who I am, a fighter! It's great that I'm the only Tracy in my grade, because it makes me feel unique and special. Though, there is a Stacey in my school, and we're good friends. So it gets annoying when somebody yells something like "acey" cause then we don't know who they're talking about. loL." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Sep 13, 2008: "My name is Tracy, i was born in 1981, was quite popular when i was growing up although most people had it spelt "Tracey" and ive always had to correct people on how to spell it." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Jul 21, 2008: "I'm a Tracy with a Y, born in 1981. I don't know why people always misspell it with an -ey, or even an -ie. I always thought -y was the default. And I loathe the nickname "Trace." I met one other Tracy in law school." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left May 08, 2008: "Tracy is my sisters name. She was born in 1962. I know one other Tracy that I work with. I rarely come across a Tracy. It seems very wierd to me to refer to my sister as Tracy. Ever since I can remember I have called her Trac." (Report as inappropriate)

  • Comment left May 07, 2008: "I was born in 1957. My dad named me. I was in 8th grade before I came across another Tracy. We were best friends and had a lot of fun when people would call out to us in the halls.I love my name." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left May 01, 2008: "My name is Tracy. I love the name. I was born 1977 and growing up I was the only one named Tracy. I worked with a Tracey after college but TRACY is the best spelling!!!" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Jun 10, 2007: "I love my name and the spelling is correct (Tracy with a Y)... I was born in 1971. I too have not come across many people named Tracy." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left May 28, 2007: "I've always loved my name (sp. Tracy). Even though I was born in 1970, and obviously at the height of its popularity, I have only come across other "Tracy's" every now and again. It is still unique and pretty. It has a strong meaning and, as a girl and then as a young woman, I always liked that it made me feel like a strong person that could do whatever I put my mind to." (Report as inappropriate)
