"My name is Lorna and I love it. Born in 1994. I have only met 3 other Lornas, and none of which until after I was out of school. Most were quite older than me (given its most popular year) But I will never forget the day I met someone my same age with the name. I was stunned. Thought she was joking. Like I was the only one. Us Lorna's are lucky. People mess it up sometimes but I also get lots of compliments. My name makes me feel strong but soft and most definitely quirky." Nov. 6, 2018:
"My name is Lorna and I was born on November 1st 2004.I am 14 right now and I love being one of the only kids called it. It's so unique!" Nov. 4, 2018:
"It is sooo amazing cause all the other names in the world are rubbish!" Feb. 24, 2018:
"My name is Lorna, when I was in elementary School my classmates called me Lori until I got in Middle School, then they started calling me by my birth name Lorna. I love my name Lorna because if someone calls out "Lorna' I know it is me they are calling out to. I'm happy not to have a popular name." Feb. 10, 2018:
"I'm Lorna with a second name Jane. I've always liked my name and I'm always surprised when I meet anyone with my name as it's not at all common. I was born in 1958 so at its height of popularity. When I was due to be born my grandparents took my older sister by 8 years on holiday to Exmoor to Lorna Doone country and I've always assumed that was why my name was chosen" Nov. 4, 2016:
"I am Welsh and a Lorna :) I was born in 1982 and my Mum liked the name. I Love it, nice to have an original name that isn't that popular these days.
I do also have difficulty with people getting it wrong. Laura, Iona, Mona . . . This has just made me more insistent that they get it right and that I know the correct pronunciations of other peoples names." Jun. 19, 2015:
"My name is Lorna, and i love it and i get allot of compliments, although most are from adults. i was born in 1999 so not many people have my name, and i still have never met another Lorna in my life." Jan. 29, 2015:
"I'm a Lorna don't meet many but I love it ! I'm 43 x" Apr. 5, 2013:
"I am in my 50's and have always LOVED my name! I'm so proud to say it. I think it is classy, different, romantic, sexy, and I LOVE it! Thanks, Mom." Feb. 8, 2011:
"I like my name but other people constantly call me Laura, Norma, Mona, Laurie, etc. Gets old after awhile!!" Mar. 2, 2010:
"My name is Lorna and although it is old fashioned it is feminine, classy and not overused. I was born in '81 and growing up I never met anybody with the same name. I have since met a few other Lorna's and I like it much more than I used to. Makes a nice change from Ashley!" Jan. 13, 2010:
"LOVE this name! It has a soft, dreamy quality to it but still sounds strong. If I have a daughter, she'll definitely be a Lorna." Apr. 4, 2008:
"I have a friend called Lorna and she is a petite, very attractive, self contained, self composed and knowledgable woman, I think the name Lorna suits her. we live in the Canary islands and the local people here call her Luna, which I feel is appropriate as she is a capricornian and people in capricorn are very stable and down to earth. Both her names Lorna and Luna to me have a hint of the spiritual and she certainly continually receives experiances from the other side, especially from her late husband who died very suddenly two summers ago, leaving Lorna and his two daughters only after 3.5 years of marriage. Their daughters were only 10 months and just turned 2 years old at the time. Lorna is a beautiful name and all names ending in "a" have a more gentle sound to then. I'm sorry for the person who dropped hers for the name Lynn, which is Anglo-Saxon for Cascade. Lorna name created by RD Blackmore for his novel Lorna Doone, suggests feminine for Lorne, but is strongly related to the Gaellic place name of Lathairn/Latharna in Argull, pronounced LA-ur-na and possibly means fox" Nov. 18, 2007:
"my names lorna and i like it beacuse not very many people are called lorna. people tend to spell it wrong and always end up calling me laura" Jun. 10, 2006:
"This is my name I didn't like it growing up but as I have gotten older I like it being different. I also have been compared to Lorna Doone and that was flustrating when I was young, and I can't ever find anything with my name on it. I was born in 1957 growing up there was only one other person in my home town with my name. She was born in the late 60's. And my mom also just like the name she wanted something different for me." Feb. 26, 2006:
"This is an awesome name. I wish I had used it for my daughter. It is classic and not too popular." Jan. 7, 2006:

"My son is expecting his first child in July 2019 and if it?s a girl it will be named after her great grandma Lorna and I?m over the moon. I miss my mum Lorna but she will live on if we get a little girl." Jan. 26, 2019:
"My name is Lorna. My piano teacher had a daughter named Lorna. I went to school with another girl named Lorna, and worked with a Lorna until she retired." Sep. 13, 2018:
"I?m Lorna born 1957. I didn?t realise this was the most popular year for the name as I don?t meet many lornas. I wasn?t fussed on it when young and would have preferred to be a pretty Julie or Wendy but I appreciate it now as it is a bit different. Someone once told me that any Lorna he ever met was a bit quirky/eccentric and I know I live up to that! (and I don?t mind at all)" Jan. 17, 2018:
"I'm due in a four weeks and will definitely be naming my little daughter Lorna. I think it's such a dreamy and soft name with an almost fairy like feel to it. I have a 1.5 year old baby boy called Sasha (Russian origin) and Lorna and Sasha go very well together I feel." Jun. 26, 2017:
"My names lorna I was born in 1999 and only recently like in the past year I've met 2 lornas.. Eh I've grown to like the name but when your talking to adults they usually mistake it for Laura or Orla, one old man thought it was Oina, it's funny how when people picture a person called lorna, their picture is pretty accurate haha I have clear skin but my hairs a lightish brown, not dark.." Apr. 19, 2015:
"I named my daughter Lorna cause I like the name and my mom always wanted to name me or my sister Lorna well after my sister had 2 girls and did t name o e if them lot a I told my mom if I a girl I will name her Lorna so I did. "People like to say, "Hi Lorna, how you Doone?" Lots of cookie references." Jun. 18, 2007:
"This is my grandma's name. She's of Scottish descent so it suits her perfectly. I like the name for her, but I think it sounds harsh when you say it." Apr. 30, 2006:
"I love the name Lorna Rose. Lorna Luft is a great actress. It's a nice variant of Lauren. I like its variants Lauren and Laura." Jul. 4, 2005:
"This is my sister's name when she was born she was the only one with the name but it grew at least in my small town as there's a few not a whole lot but not bad considering. She likes her name but can hardly ever get anything with her name on it which is frustrating. Everyone wants to know if she was named after Lorna Doone which she wasn't. My mother just liked the name." Jun. 19, 2005:
