"My name is Josephine and I love my name,it's classy and everyone says Wow that's a lovely name,so I'm so proud of it. It was my aunts name, and my grans sisters name along with my grandmother. My gran and my Uncle used to call me Josephina, My niece(who's middle name is Josephine) and her children cal me Aunty Jojo which I love and one or two of my friends call me Jo but I don't allow Josie as I dislike that name. I am from Scotland and there are a few people called Josephine that I know but you find it's usually a traditional name that's been passed down from a family member." Jul. 10, 2018:

"I love my name; the only downside to it is the rather bothersome nickname Josie (Which I hate beyond belief) but those close to me know I dislike that name and due to that I have quite a array of nicknames (The one used by my friends; Fino)." Jan. 21, 2013:
"My name is Josephine nd Ive always thought it was strong nd unique in its own pretty way the only thing i dont like is my nickname Jo because so many people spell it like a guys name:Joe!nd sum think of a guy rite off so i also go by Nina which is soooo much cuter and girly than plain old Jo :)" Dec. 13, 2011:
"Hey, my name is Josephine too and I love it, even though many peole say it's old and my gandma's name is Josephine but it suits me sooooo much and people call me josie but Josephine is lovely and gorgeous!" Dec. 20, 2010:
"Josephine is my name too. I love it. People call me Josie, which I don't mind that much - but I really prefer and love to be called Josephine. I rarely meet people with the same name, so when I do it's quite a novelty. I particularly love it when it's pronounced by someone from a French background with a strong French accent." Aug. 11, 2008:
"MY DAUGHTER IS A 4TH GENERATION JOSEPHINE, SHE LOVES NAME - HER NICKNAME IS "JOEE" - WHAT A WONDERFUL NAME!!!" Oct. 20, 2007:

"Josephine is a really great name. I wouldn't mind having it myself. I imagine someone with that name as being strong-willed and independent. Oh, and Joey makes a really cool nick-name." Jul. 23, 2006:
"My almost two year old is Josephine. We call her Fifi, affectionately. No one ever misspells it or mispronounces it or has ever guessed that she is anything but 100% feminine. It's been my favorite name since I was 3 and it was also the name of a beloved Aunt. I'm thrilled that I finally had a girl to give it to!" Apr. 28, 2006:
"My very favorite girl name. My first (of three) daughter is named Josephine. My only regret is that I probably should have named her Josie, as that's all we have ever called her. While I love Josephine, it would probably have been easier in her to be officially named Josie instead." Jan. 19, 2006:
"my name is josephine and it makes me feel special now that many don't have it. its a wonderful name." Jan. 13, 2006:

Its a family name that most people dont have and dont have problem pronouncing it and am proud to have it coz all Josephines are beautiful and unique" Oct. 19, 2013:
"I used to hate my name; I got mocked and bullied for it constantly. Some friends actually like it now, and that helps. I've gone through a few nicknames, mostly "Jodey," but some others in French and Spanish. I insist on Josefina in Spanish; "Jodi" sounds obscene. I like the name much better in French, it sounds prettier and can get shortened to Jos?e sometimes. Parents, please don't give your child this name unless you are prepared to intervene when she gets bullied. Don't be dismissive of it or of her if she does. Not liking your own name and having it used as a title of scorn is very painful growing up." Oct. 1, 2011:
"Josephine has been my favorite name since I was a child and I often wish it had been my own name... as such, I hope to someday have a little girl I can give this beautiful name to 9and pray in the meantime that it doesn't blow up as a super popular name). I love Josephine but like Joey for short, too..." Jun. 15, 2010:
"my name's Josephine. i love it. it's great because it can have so many derivations, most of my close friends call me something different (jo, jozza, josie, jaz, joz .. the list goes on) which is really lovely, and my family call me 'josa' which i also love. and it's french which is always a bonus" Feb. 16, 2009:
"My name's Josephine,(called Josie for short), and though I hated it until I was 13, now I love it. I've only ever met one Josephine (though she was much older). It's a very classic yet very unique name." Oct. 19, 2008:
"My name is josphina and i get called jojo, josie,jo.I really like my name it is quit nice.I known alot of things that come from my name that makes me feel special" Aug. 26, 2008:
"I named my daughter Josephine as well. (She's 1 now too) It's a family name and though I had worries about it being too prissy, I do think it is quite beautiful now and fits her completely. We call her Josie as well. I love that it's not too popular of a name, but it still has that classic quality to it that's popular nowadays." May. 15, 2006:
