"I've been Jasmin since 1984 and wouldn't change it for anything. My dad discarded the "e" because he worried that people would pronounce is "JasMINE".
It is a unique name and I prefer having the unique spelling. Misspellings can be annoying but, in the days of auto-correct, it happens." Apr. 24, 2015:
"My name is Jasmyne . My parents wanted to spell my name differently and spelled it with a Y Iinstead of an I . I love my name , and the way it's spelled ." Sep. 29, 2012:
"My name is Jasmin. My parents did not add the E on the end because my middle name ends with one. People sometimes spell it wrong, especially teachers. Usually when they as me my name I say "Jasmin, no E" Sort of reminds me of Anne of Green Gables, always saying "Anne with an E!" But i love my name, and always say 'wheres my aladdin?"" May. 8, 2009:

"My name is Jasmin. My parents spelled it with no E to be different. It gets agervating when the teachers spell my name with an E. Sometimes I wish that my name was spelt "Jaszmine" or at least "Jasmine". So every time I have to tell someone that its spelt with NO E!! But as I grew up it was always Jazzy,Jazz,Victoria(middle name), or Monkey. But now people call me Jassy-jazz,jessybell but I like just plain Jaz." Sep. 21, 2013:
"I get the called the Chinese version of 'jasmine' all the time, 'mo li hwa' which is ok..though I feel that Jasmin is nicer... And everyone keeps assuming its spelled with an 'E', which can be annoying some times" Jul. 26, 2008:
"I spell my name as JasminE. I don't like being called "Jazzy". Close friends call Jessie and I like this nickname more than Jasmine." Jan. 3, 2007:
"My name is spelled Jasmyn and people spell it wrong all the time but I don't mind. People usually pronounce it fine. When I was little people called me Jazz or Jazzy and that was fine. Now I prefer to be called Jasmyn. Now that I'm older I am told it is a sexy name." Jul. 30, 2005:
