"I love my name but I was so curious on how different it is that I googled this I didn't know I shared the same name with so many people" Jul. 28, 2017:
"We named my daughter Elaina (long E at the beginning) in 2015, her nickname is Ellie. She calls herself Ellie or Laina. We get compliments all time on her name. We get a lot of mispronunciation - Eh-laina, Uh-laina...but I knew that would happen when choosing it, so it doesn't really bother me" May. 6, 2017:
"Named my daughter this. Absolutely love the name!! Just get ready for people who can't read! My doc office is the worst. They say Eliana all the time. Most people get it right if they take the time to look at it correctly. We call her Lainey. So, hopefully if she likes this nickname, people can pronounce it right the first time. We always get comments on how beautiful and uncommon the name is." May. 6, 2016:
"I have an Elaina but many people pronounce it Eliana when talking to her even though she goes by Lainey. I have found that there are many different nicknames for this name. If you choose to name your kid this then have more kids, have a nick-name ready!! My little ones tend to call her nayna. Its an adorable name that is also sophisticated." Apr. 14, 2015:
"MY NEWEST GRANDAUGHTER WILL BE NAMED ELAINA I WILL CALL HER LANEY" Mar. 28, 2015:
"I'm currently 15 and my name is Elaina, i love my name :D and find it fitting, as i am the first girl in my family, in hebrew Elaina means "gift". My little 2-year-old sister calls me nana with the first "a" long (she cant say "e"yet) but i think its fine ;D" Jul. 2, 2014:
"My name is Elaina and i love having this name because not many people have it or spell it exactly like i do that i know and yes many people mis spell my name but its fine becaus ei am use to it." Jun. 11, 2013:
"We named our dtr Elaina. We call her El and Elli. It fits her perfectly. Like the other comments, cute little nicknames now, but when she is older, she can go by Elaina to sound more professional." Feb. 20, 2011:
"im having a baby girl and im leaning towards the name elaina because it is unique and pretty for a girl...i jus loves the way it sounds...also me and my bf names start with E so...i like it :)" Feb. 28, 2010:
"I named my daughter "Elaina", after my sister "Elaine". It had family roots, but has its own independence as well. She currently goes by "E", as in the letter, but there's tons of possibilities as she grows older and maybe wants something more sophisticated. I love it!" Jul. 8, 2007:
"I love this name. I hope I have a girl so I can use it!" Mar. 23, 2007:
"I named my daughter Elaina. People are always mis-spelling it Elena (a popular name with Spanish-speakers common in our city.) I call her Lainy (pronounced Lay-Nee), but we'll see if she likes that or El as she gets older." Jun. 6, 2006:
"I think the name is beautiful. I only know one Elaina, and love it!" Apr. 1, 2006:
"I find this name pretty and femimine without being to fussy. Easy to pronounce and to spell." Jan. 30, 2006:

"My name is Elaina. I hated it as a kid because it sounded like an old maids name. But I have grown to like it as I've gotten older. It is different but feminine and I I've only ran across a handful of people that spell it this way. The only thing is people tend to pronounce it (Uh-Lay-Nuh) instead of (Ee-Lay-Nuh) but I've learned to answer to both because the difference is so small in my opinion. I've never had anyone make a comment good or bad towards my name. My nicknames have been Lainy or E, mostly as a child. I didn't like either of those. And my middle name is Michelle which I think together they have a nice flow." Sep. 13, 2018:
"I dislike my name, and I am an Elaina. It's okay, other people like it more than I do.
Lot of girls running around with the name now. Few of them make a face and tell me they dislike to, too. Might be why I go by Elle." Oct. 7, 2010:
"My wifes name is Laina which i love because its beautiful and very unique, yet people often call her Alaina or Elaina. Get it right folks, LAINA" Jun. 19, 2010:
"Elaina is a wonderful, graceful, name. It's very professional sounding, yet lady like, and delicate. I would want to shorten it to Ellie. I've always adored the name Ellie, but as a nickname, not a formal. If she gets older doesn't like Ellie, we could call her Lane,Laney, El, or maybe even Ella. She'll have a large variety of nicknames she can choose from is she doesn't want to go by Ellie, or just Elaina. Elaina Rose sounds very beautiful bound together like that, and it rolls off of the tounge. Very cute. I could also Nickname her Ellie-Rose. How cute!" Nov. 6, 2008:
"This is my name, and I must say that I have met VERY FEW people who share it. It is very fitting for me... a unique name for a unique individual! :) I have met one person who spells it the same as I do, and WOW what a small world... I went to school and graduated with her!" Nov. 27, 2007:
"I named my daughter Elaina and we call her Laina sometimes but I love her name. It's not heard too often either." Sep. 18, 2007:
"Funny, I just found out a am pregnant and if we have a girl her name will be Elaina after my mom Elaine who passed away but we thought it would be cute to call her Laney." Aug. 28, 2007:
