"I named my baby girl Dejah. Given that we are of Latin origin; family and friends mispronounce it more often than I would like :(. My husband got the name from the book "a princes of Mars " by Edgar Rice Burrows. her surname is pronounced also just like in the book, hence my husband's keenness for the name. so she is our very own princess of Mars :) this is a very original name and always will cause controversy. We pronounce it Dey'ja." May. 26, 2015:

"I do have the same name! Alot of people to say it wrong, spell it wrong, unless i tell them before hand and they're like "De-JAH"? I'm like "DEJAH" and its annoying at times. But i really do love this name. Its differnet and unique. I think I have a cousin named Dejah but spelled different. And I dont meet alot with the name Dejah." Jul. 30, 2005:
"I always thought that I was the only one with the name "Dejah", but recently I've been exploring it on the internet and have found others. I haven't met any people with the name, though. I'm not sure how other people with the name pronounce it, but mine is like rajah (the tiger from Aladdin), but with a dee sound instead of the ra. People always say it with "day" instead of "dee". So much that I answer to that too, just because it gets annoying correcting people all the time. It is impossible to find my name on gift cups, unless specially ordered." May. 28, 2005:
