  • "Hello, My name is Brittney as well. I have NEVER met anyone that spells it like I do. I do know a few Brittany's but they are spelt differently. This is what I hear when I pronounce both names out loud. For BRITTANY- Brit-Ann-ee .... & for BRITTNEY- Brit-knee!! I love my name, mostly because my mother had my names picked out since she was a little girl. She's always loved this name and the way i spell it. It's funny though bc she's not too fond of the spelling "brittany". It's amazing how you can have a completely different pronunciation, but same name! Thanks- baby britt" Aug. 11, 2015: Report as inappropriate

  • "I Love my nam the way it is... it's special but it does get annoying when people ive know for a decade still spell it BrittANY" Jan. 31, 2009: Report as inappropriate

  • "my name is brittney and 9 times out of 10 people spell it brittANY and it drives me crazy. even my teachers that i have had all year still spell my name wrong. sometimes i wish i could just go by my middle name which is nicole but that is also a common brittney/brittany middle name." • "My name is Brittney, people do often spell it wrong because the most common way of spelling it is "Brittany". I've only run into 2 or 3 other girls who spell their name the way I do." Feb. 17, 2008: Report as inappropriate

  • "My daughter is named Brittney. It's a lot cuter than Brittany, in my opinion. I call her Baby Britt, but she gets tired of it easily after 7 years of hearing it. :) My next daughter will be named Lillian Rose." Jul. 26, 2007: Report as inappropriate

  • ""Brittney" Is the correct spelling. Everybody always spells it with an "a" which is wrong. Honestly, it's Britt-ney, not britt-a-ny." Jun. 5, 2007: Report as inappropriate

  • "this is my name ever time i look but i never find the right spelling so thumbs up !" Sep. 9, 2006: Report as inappropriate

  • "My name is Brittney... My only complaint is that I sometimes wish it were A-N-Y just for everyone's convenience. I see is horribly mispelled all the time. But anywho, I like it. Also, a LOT of people have this name. When I was in high school, there were FOUR Brittney's (or some variation) in my homeroom. And all of us had the same last initial. All I can say about that is MASS CONFUSION!" Aug. 6, 2006: Report as inappropriate

  • "My name is Brittney and people say it and spell it wrong at the time and in my opinion it is pernounced like Britt-knee not Britt-any Brittney and people alway's spell it Brittany so annoying and you can never find charm's or key chain's or pen's or anything like that with the name Brittney the way mine is you always see it spelled Brittany. Ne who that's all" May. 13, 2006: Report as inappropriate

  • "People rarely spell it "Brittany" but there are no pronunciation mistakes that often occur. The way people say my name which is Brittney is like Brit-knee which is sounded out. I haven't met that many other people with the same name as me and if I did meet another Brittney it had a different spelling." Mar. 27, 2006: Report as inappropriate

  • "My name is Brittney. I have common nicknames that are associated with it. I wish that I could have went by "Rochelle" as a kid in school. There were dozens "Brittany's" in my elementary school and I would say it doubled in High School. Its boring, I think." Oct. 24, 2010: Report as inappropriate
