"My name is Kilian, spelled with one L only most likely because my mother didn't want the word "kill" in my name. Haha~ I think I've only met one other first-name Killian face to face- a baby being taken to visit the same doctor as me a few/several years ago. I've always absolutely loved my name, not just for being uncommon, but for its unmistakable, distinctive and strong sound (once you get it right! I sometimes have to repeat myself), and for the story of how I came to have this unique name." Sep. 25, 2009:
"Killian is an awesome boys name, its irish and its what im trying to convince my girl to name our little boy. Its origin was spelled cillian. But it doesnt give it that unique feeling.
As for those naming it for a girl... i dont really see a girl ever having the work kill in there name...When you break the name down its Kill Ian. its a tad strong of a name for a girl in my eyes. As for little kelly being a meaning to the name killian that would be wrong. its not related to any girl type name at all." Sep. 12, 2009:
"Our son is Killian. We wanted to name him after a boy name in our family, Kelly, but being Catholic we really wanted him to have a Saint's name. Saint Killian was the closest to Kelly we could find, and it was only after we decided on Killian we found out that the name actually means "Little Kelly." How perfect! We call him Killy right now, but when he's older Killy will seem too babyish and he'll likely either be called just Killian or Kelly." Oct. 1, 2008:
"i love the name Killian. I think it is great for both a boy or a girl." Mar. 31, 2007:
"My husband chose Killian for our daughter, and I was unsure at first. Now I can't imagine her being named anything else. It has a beautiful ring to it, and she won't have the same name as everyone else in her class." Sep. 2, 2006:

"My sister just named my new baby niece Kiliann. She picked both of her daughters names to be used for a girl or boy just spelled differently. Her first daughter is Teaghan and now we have a Kiliann. She chose to spell Kiliann with an "a-n-n" due to her own middle name being Ann. I just love it!" May. 5, 2009:
