"I like this name, it sounds like a very noble name and has been the name of several European monarchs. It sounds more dignified (to me) and less "rough" than Frank. But of course, it sounds very much like the girls' name "Frances."" Jun. 7, 2009:

I still have people calling me by my middle name instead since that's what my grandmother called me. I hate for people to call me "Frank" or "Fran".
