"My daughter's name is Elliot May and it suits her perfectly! She was named after the show "Scrubs". She does get called "him" in situations like over the phone or at a doctors apt. but in person people love it. We thought we would call her "Ellie" but it just seems weird not calling her Elliot." "My son is called Elliot and I love it. It suits him so much. It is a really lovely name and people admire it so much. It isn't one of the traditional names which i like." Feb. 3, 2011:
"I named my Daughter Elliot Rose, after hearing it on "Scrubs" We've always call her Ellie for short but now at three she introduces herself as Elliot and when people ask why she 'has a boys name' she tells them 'cause its pretty'" May. 9, 2010:
"We named our daughter Elliot in 2005. We call her Ellie sometimes but she introduces herself as Elliot. We get many parents telling us they wish they had named their girl Elliot!" Jun. 20, 2009:
"This is one of my favorite names for a boy or girl. I'm not a huge fan of nicknames, though. So if I named my daughter Elliot, she would be called Elliot for the most part instead of Elle or Elli. My name is Kathryn, and people have always tried to call me Kate or Katie. In my opinion, why name a child something if that's not what you are going to call him/her?" Dec. 4, 2008:
"The most common misspelling of my son's name is with two "t's" (Elliott). The hospital even put it on his birth certificate that way!
Everyone who expresses an opinion really like his name. I like that it's different, without being weird. I had no idea that it had gained so much popularity in recent years. What I like most about the name is that it is a derivative of "Elijah", which means "the LORD is God." The meaning of a name is important." May. 13, 2008:
"I love it for a girl and I think it would be cute to call her "Elli" for short. One of the female doctors in "Scrubs" is Elliot and I thought it was cute. As a boy it seems a little old fashioned." Oct. 9, 2006:

"Honestly why would anyone use a beautiful mans name on a girl? its disrespectful to the boys who have to put up with all the crud that they will get from others about having a (girls name) when originally it had nothing to do with girls! thats like naming a girl william or a boy susan!" Dec. 12, 2013:
"Our son is Elliot. We went with one t, because two t's, when written in cursive, looks like a capital H and that was annoying to us. We sometimes call him Eli (E-lie). As a teacher, it waimportant for me to find a name that wasn't super popular with the young kids in my district and that wasn't already associated with a kid I'd taught." Aug. 12, 2010:
"I named my son Elliot, I love that it is classic but not overused. I get tons of compliments on his name and don't feel that itis old fashioned at all. I admit it seems very much a boys name to me and hope he doesn't end up with any girl Elliots in his class. It's just an all around good name!" Mar. 27, 2009:
"I love the name Eliot, I think i prefer it with 2 t's though. it reminds me of the girl Eliot off "scrubs". I think its so cute for a girl.. Elli for short." Aug. 10, 2008:
