Comment left Nov 29, 2008: "MY FATHER GAVE ME THE NAME PRONOUNCED LIKE ZEH-TA OR ZETA. IT IS HEBREW MEANING "OLIVE" OR IN JEW ORIGIN "FROM AN ORCARD TREE"" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Apr 05, 2007: "Zetta was my great-grandmother's name. I always thought it was a neat name, and have never run across anyone else by that name. We pronounce it "ZEH-tah". She lived in the hills of VA and WV, and I thought it might be an old "mountain" name." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Dec 29, 2006: "Wow, I'm the first Zetta! I guess it's not that popular. That's okay because I love it. I was named after my late grandmother. People mispronounce it so much that I'm actually surprised when they pronounce it right without me correcting them. The most common mispronunciation is "Zeta" (zay-ta) and sometimes "Zeeta". Most people think the correct pronunciation is pretty. I haven't directly met anyone with my name, but I meet people every now and then that know someone else with the same name. I had a young lady tell me that her mother wanted to name her that. I also discovered there's actually another lady in my city with my exact full name which was really surprising. I thought I was the only one! But it's origin is Hebrew and it means "olive tree"." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Feb 03, 2006: "Zetta? Never heard of it! It also doesn't sound like a good name for a child! I would never name my kid that! All the kids in her school would make fun of her so I would not name my child that! Blech!" (Report as inappropriate)
