Not the one with Adela Noriega. :-) I think I proabably fall in the first or second bar on the chart above. I also go by Yesi (because coaching soccer to little kids, they could not pronounce my name). I didn't name my daughter after me but her name starts with a 'Y' as well. I also get lots of compliments and I have even had people tell me theyre going to name their children after me! It's nice to have a unique name even though people cant prononce it sometimes. I also was named after a soap opera. I like when guys prefer to call me by Yesenia because they say its prettier than Jessie. Its nice to know there's others who feel the same!" i get a lot of mispronunciations with it.
especially since people pronounce it as if they're saying "yes" to something.
if you were to say it correctly, it would be "jeh-SEH-nee-ah"

Funny story...I just discovered about 5 years ago that my mom spelled my name wrong on my birth certificate...she spelled it Yesinia. When I asked her about it she didn't even realize that she had, I still spell it Yesenia. I had never heard of the name either, until I got into high school and then I met 2 other Yesenia's.
