User Comments about the name Wilma
Comment left Jul 29, 2008: "It's me, I think it suits me sort of straightforward.
I was called after my father so for that reason I like it." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Jun 06, 2008: "In the U.S. this name is strictly for grandmas as well as Fred Flintstone's wife. Bizarrely, though, and in the eyes and ears of non-Swedes, it is currently one of the most popular girls' names in Sweden." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Jun 14, 2007: "WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA...of turkish descent means mother's breast" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left May 31, 2007: "Yes, people often mispell it. Most people tend to spell my name "Wilma" with 2 ls. There is a spelling of that name this way, though. I havn't had problems with people pronouncing it wrong. I don't meet many others with the same name. I consider it rare, and that is why I like it. I know about only 3 others with that name. I like it because it isn't so popular. I have stuggled with accepting my name, and still do. I have come to accept it, there's no way I can change it, but I can't say that I love it. It's a bit plain for me. But then, plain names can also be nice. I'm still trying to find more reasons for liking it. So if you have any reasons why you like it, please feel free to share them.
I looked it up and saw that it means "determined protector". I and alot of people agree that this title fits me or descri bes me. So that has also helped me accept it." (Report as inappropriate)
