Comment left Nov 30, 2008: "My name is Vicie. I was named for my grandmother who was born in 1907. I was born in 1957. I am actually called by my middle name; however, since Vicie is my first name, it is on all legal paperwork and most often mispronounced as Vicky.
I like my name, although I prefer to be called by my middle name and have been since birth. I'm just wondering what its meaning is.
The few people that I have met named Vicie are in their 70's or 80's.
My grandmother always claimed that it was a Spanish name, and that seems to be true. She herself was part Irish, Cherokee, and French Cajun.

Comment left Apr 03, 2008: "My mother's name was Vicie. She was born in 1918. I have never heard of anyone else with that name. She was named after her aunt who's name was Vicalia. People always mispronounced it. She was called Vickie most of the time. That might be why she named me Vickie when I was born." (Report as inappropriate)
