In my country, you dont need to write it 'Vanessa' to spell it correcly, because our language is spoken as it is writen and vice versa. If you want to spell it like 'Vaneza', than you have to write it 'Vaneza'....but Vanesa is just Vanesa. I think the double 'ss is for some languges that don't have such rules, like english. I love the name nonetheless. With each spelling my personality was bright in its own creative way and now I am Vanesa and people pronounce it "vaneza" which is pretty cool. I get so many compliments on the name and I'm quite happy with it. It's rarely misspelled. Ever now and then someone will spell is Venessa or Vannessa, but I correct them.
