I did not realize that there were so many other Valinda's. I always felt special and unique with my name. People often think my name is Melinda or Belinda but I do not mind nor do I correct them. I am asked often where it came from or what does it mean? I usually respond with my parents were trying to be unique and knew someone with the name. I have always thought it meant "pretty", I like "pretty valley" and "beautiful valley" as well." (Report as inappropriate)
