I did not know about the sea monster from the little mermaid, I did see the movie before but I paid no attention to the sea monster. It is still a beautiful name and our lives are not guided by Disney. Ursula is also the name of several authors, a saint, Ursula Andress... there are more role models then sea monsters. My family absolutely hate it because they think it's old-fashioned, but some of the most popular trendy names today aren't that new: Emily, Sarah, Abigail. Not to mention the other unique names that are out there: McKenzie, Brianna, Kaylee, Jada. So, Ursula shouldn't be made fun of in today's world. It's ADORABLE and our daughter will be unique. In their wonderful Russian accents the name was pronounced as "Your'-sala".
