I know of one other Twyla when I was growing up; I used to hate my name when I was a kid, I wanted to be Jennifer or Julie. I'm so happy I have the name I do now! People compliment it all the time. I think the last time was when two sisters were called Twyla and Thursa about two hundred years ago. I really like these names, but they seem to be very rare here in the UK."
