I just figured if they were talking about me, at least they were thinking of me. As an adult, I'm most refered to as "T" or "Teen" by close family or friends. Growing up I was always made fun of by people calling me Tina Turner, Teenie Weenie, Teen, Teenie Bopper... ect. I didn't like it growing up, but I have learned to apprecite it more as an adult, because it is rare now and I don't ever have anyone ask me how to spell it. People actually give me complements about my name because I know when I am in an office or hear my name I know they are talking to me, I dont have to play the guessing game with several people like others have to with a common name." I think its a dull name. i grew up being called Tina Turner. God knows how many of her songs were sung to me.
