Originally I was Sarah, but was never happy with this; it's a very conventional name and there are SOOOOO many girls/women with the same name. I adored the name 'Tabatha' from when I was a child, so this year, I finally changed my name by deed poll.
I love being a Tabatha; it's cute, quirky and just unusual enough to be noted and remembered when you meet someone new. Comment left Mar 23, 2006: "i always get commented on how unusual my name is! there is always someone around to say " i have a cat named tabatah" or "wasnt that from TV" and i can tell people that my mum watched Bewtched and liked the name on there and named me after the little girl. Some people call me tabby cat which is very annoying, and Tabatha twitchet, and the majority of people spell my name wrong- tabitha, until i correct them on my spelling!
i like my name, its different- but as a kid i used to get annoyed because i could never get keyrings and pens with my name on.
