Comment left May 27, 2008: "My name is Stefani, and I love it. There are alot of people who have the name Stephanie at my school, but I am the only one who spells it Stefani. My friends can make a lot of nicknames out of it! Steffy, Stefani (as Gwen Stefani says it), Stef-Bo, and tons more. I wouldn't trade it for the world!" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Mar 13, 2008: "Stefani is my name, too! Teachers sometimes say it wrong but I just say it properly and it doesn't bother me at all! I love my name and I wouldn't even think of changing it!" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Oct 05, 2007: "Yeah my name is Stefani pronounced like the traditional Stephanie. However, it never fails that when someone reads my name for the first time they pronounce it as if it were Gwen Stefani's last name lol I just go with it!" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Apr 02, 2007: "Well I have good news for you! Gwen does not pronounce her name correctly but I forgive her since I just love her music. Her name has its roots in Northern Italy. It comes from the followers of Santo Stefano or Saint Stephano or Saint Steven (all the same) who was the first Christian martyr saint who died in 41 A.D. Santo Stefano was originally from Greece. Okay, now that the history lesson is over let's get to the pronunciation of the name. The accent lies over the first vowel whether it's shown or not and has the "eh" sound not an "uh" sound. In Italian, words are pluralized by putting an "i" at the end of the word. Therefore the name "Stefani" refers to the followers (or people) of Santo Stefano. Your name is pronounced just like "Stephanie." In Italy, everyone pronounces it this way. It's only in America that people "think" it should be otherwise.
Buona fortuna,
Luca" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Feb 27, 2007: "I have problems with my teachers and my friends at school with my spelling because most people spell it as stephanie and if it takes me three times to spell it for them well i think my name is very special and im just 10" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Dec 13, 2006: "My name is Stefani and I love it. When I was growing uo no one had this name and the spelling was unusual for the time. I often go by Steff or Steffi with my family. I always have to tell people how to spell it, but I don't mind. I only dislike when it is pronounced the same way Gewn Stefani's name in pronouced. Over all it is a great name and I am proud that it is mine!" (Report as inappropriate)
