It's sometimes pronounced wrongly by foreigners, but never by a Dutch person. I love my name, because although it is a well known name in Holland and I never have to spell it, it is not very common. I absolutely LOVE my name and wouldn't change it for a million dollars (seriously)...It's not a very common name in the US, but in the beautiful island of Jamaica (where my family is from) the name is more practical.
