(Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Mar 20, 2006: "I am a Rpsina, born 1977. My legal name is actually Rosina-Maria named after my 2 Italian great grandmothers both of Naples, Italy. More often than not, people do pronouce my name incorrectly and think it is Regina or Rosita; some also confuse the ethinicity as well, although I have met Latin American woman with my same exact name even though it is Italian in origin. Some also say "ro-see-na" when actually the proper way of pronoucing it is "ro-zee-na" "s" in Italian is a "z" sound. I have met very very few people with my name. As a child, I would find my name in the Obituary pages all the time-- all the old Italian Ladies who had passed away! I have grown to like my name and find it to be a strong name. The more and more I find out about my namesake, there are similarities in personality. In conclusion, my name might be very different, and really doesnt go with a lot of last names, but overall it is a conversation piece! I must thank my mother for keeping cultural tradition alive and well!" (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Dec 23, 2005: "My name is Rosina and when I was little I hated it, now that I am older I love having a name no one has, but it's not crazy or outragous. Only thing I don't like is some people mistake me for being able to speak spanish and the name is actually Italian" (Report as inappropriate)
