Then, I found out about the mythical meaning (great queen or goddess) and the story behind the name, and I think parts of it actually relates to me. Comment left Nov 23, 2008: "I fell in love with the name Rhiannon when I found it in a baby book, and when i researched it I found the mythology very powerful (Mabinogion)and decided to name my daughter Rhiannon, yes people have to ask twice (or more) how to pronounce it since we chose to pronounce it more like the Welsh pronounciation Rhee-ah-non.
