Comment left Nov 17, 2008: ""one of my best friends is named reagan and he is a boy. is that wierd? whenever i say 'my friend reagan....' people always think i am talking about a girl. is there any other boys named reagan??" My 2 yr old son is named Reagan (Reagan Michael)not named for the pres. We love the name. I think it sounds like a boys name, but everyone assumes he is a girl going just by the name." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Nov 02, 2008: "It started out as a joke to my democratic inlaws but nothing we came up with worked, even my husband said he was happy with Reagan so we have Reagan Aeryn and it fits her perfectly! She is a strong and sweet little girl with a great sense of humor! It is unique without being ridiculous..." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Oct 17, 2008: "My name is Raegan,I love my name, but eveyone always spells my name Reagan but thats not how I spell it.Everyone says my name is pretty." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Oct 03, 2008: "We named our daughter Reagan. I like the name a lot. While we are political, we did not name her after the former president." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Sep 24, 2008: "We are going to name our son Reagan when he is born in December! I love the name! Cute and unique!" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Aug 24, 2008: "My son's name is Regan and he is 16 months old. We wanted an irish name and the research we did, it means royal, and little king. He's the best!!!" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Aug 18, 2008: "My name is Regan & I love it!! Its SOOO unique and lots of people say 'What a pretty name!' I kinda think its funny that the character in the exorcist is named Regan. I like how I am named after a Shakespear play-it's kind of fun to talk about!! I love my name! Some people do mis-prounounce it but BIG DEAL!" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Aug 15, 2008: "My name is Reagan, and I absolutely love it. I always have people telling me they love my name and they want to name their child Reagan. I love the unique-ness it offers without being strange and hard to pronounce! :)" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Aug 14, 2008: "We are due with baby girl no.2 in Nov and I drempt that we named her Reagan Rilee and after calling her Ashlyn in my belly for the past 6 months, I'm thinking of changing!" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Aug 09, 2008: "I have always loved the name Reagan for a girl. I saw it somewhere one day and knew that if I had a daughter that I would name her that. My husband and I named her Reagan Elizabeth and we could not imagine as anyone else. She was born 4-23-08." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Aug 01, 2008: "Reply to Comment left May 11, 2008 - I named my daughter Reagan Riley and our last name is Davis!!" (Report as inappropriate)

  • Comment left Jun 16, 2008: "It's a name I've always thought of as a boy's name. I think it began as a boy's name ("little king") but it seems the trend is for girls to have boy names now. (eg. Camryn, Ryan, Morgan). Just my thoughts." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Jun 02, 2008: "We are naming our baby girl Reagan Elizabeth - partly because we both loved Ronald Reagan, but love the sound of the name - it's unique, but not difficult to spell." (Report as inappropriate)

  • Comment left May 11, 2008: "We named our baby girl Reagan this year because it means "Strong" and "Regal" which is interesting given the responses here that imply that is both a beautiful and strong name. Our son is Riley and I still can't believe I did something as cute as naming them Riley and Reagan. She was born in August of 07 and her full name is Reagan Abigail. It seems to fit her really well and I can't imagine naming her anything else. What I didn't realize at the time was that our last name is Davis and Nancy Reagan was Nancy Davis Reagan." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left May 10, 2008: "I named my daughter Reagan after the greatest modern President in 02' and her identical twin sister Rory after the Kennedy gal. You can't tell me I don't a have bipartisan household. I love both names!" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Apr 26, 2008: "We might use this for our baby girl but I will spell it Reigann. Not only is it unique, the spelling seems more feminine AND it should leave no doubt that we want it pronounced REE-gan, not RAY-gan or REGG-an." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Apr 24, 2008: "My name is Reagan and I LOVE it! (I'm a girl) I only know two other Reagans that are around my age. We all go to different schools. I'm 17 and they are like 14 and 15. I guess there are a lot of little Reagans running around now. My name couldn't be more perfect." (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Mar 07, 2008: "My new great-niece was born yesterday and they named her Reagan - love it!" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Feb 19, 2008: "Sounds masculine and ALWAYS reminds me of Ronald. sorry!" (Report as inappropriate)

  • Comment left Feb 04, 2008: "In Shapespeare's King Lear Reagan was the name of one of the King's daughters. She falsley professed her love for her father and then betrayed him, estentially condemning the old man to homelessness. She also ripped the beard off an eldery male servant. NOT the historical connotation I would look for when naming a child, especially when it comes from such a famous source (ie everyone taking high school lit will look at your kid and say, wow, will you do that to your dad??)" (Report as inappropriate)
