We pronounce it O-Fee-lia, which I suspect is not really correct, but in the UK that is the common pronunciation (common spelling is also Ophelia). We love it and we get lots of comments, most think it is beautiful and unusual. Her nickname is Fifi or just Fi, I hope she likes it as she gets older - it's certainly a talking point!" I got the name from my grandma (my dads mom).He said that as a child him and his brother made a deal whoever had a daughter first they would name her Ofelia. Sadly he died at the age of 17. =,(. I didn't care too much for it as a kid because teachers always mispronounced it and I still get the 'ph' spelling instead of the 'f' but after I learned the reasons of my name, I felt honored.
