User Comments about the name Odalys
Comment left May 22, 2008: "My name is Odalys, and I couldn't be prouder of it. I am also Cuban, which I have found that most people who have this name are Cuban. I think it's both beautiful and unique, if you know how to pronounce it correctly. Most people are too ignorant to even try, but I happily correct them!" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Feb 28, 2007: "I think that this is one of the weirdest names ever. Its worse than Gewnith Paltrow's "Apple". Seriouly, is your going to name your child, think of a name that it'll like. Not one that'll be embarassed about!" (Report as inappropriate)

Comment left Aug 07, 2006: "Terrible experience. nobody knows where it came from, what it means or how to pronounce or spell it and no baby book ever has my name. it is pronounce like oda (spanish for ode) and the last part ends lees (like the fleur-de-lis). you can never find personalized things(such as pencils, key chains), unless your order them, like all the common names." Comment left Jul 19, 2006: "My name is Odalys and my parents are Cuban and it is also my mother's name. In spanish everyone says it correctly- which I personally think is the nicer sounding way and phonetically in english it sounds like "oh-tha-lease" with an accent on the "tha" because that is how spanish grammar works. In english it should be pronounced like "Oh-Dallas" but everyone mixes it up or refuses to try so it could be a bit irritating. When I was younger I hated it , but now that I'm older and in college and in Georgia I get really nice compliments on it. I also like it now as an adult because I don't ever get confused with other people which is nice and convinient. Hope this helps." (Report as inappropriate)
